As long as the ref for that game makes fair calls, CR has a better chance of making it to semi-finals than Holland. CR is doing so well because they are playing like a team, and the only reason they had such an awful time yesterday was because of that ref, whom I dare say received some incentive to help Greece - I've never seen a ref take a side so obviously before that (corrupt or just due to disliking CR for any personal reason).

Chile has a good chance of defeating Brazil; as for the other match, Argentina is more likely to defeat Switzerland, but it isn't impossible for the opposite to happen.
I would go for a straight bet for Chile and use your system for the other match.

Don't use 5 dimes. I agree with daysbtwin, but if you are to use an online sportsbook try looselines.ag or jazzsports.ag, or maybe a betting exchange like betfair.com.

I can somehow see the "negative" part of the plot of "I, Robot" happening at some point in the future thanks to this...
In particular because of this: "individual units will upload the experiences it has in dealing with humans to cloud Artificial Intelligence".

There has to be HUGE shift in the way people look at wealth, the way people sit in judgement of each other based on possessions. The idiot mentality of my car is bigger than yours so I am better than you has got to go... My house is bigger than yours so I am better than you... Could you imagine a society where people worked to be happy verses get one up on the next person... Not everybody wants to be the supervisor... That's great; my father was born in '56 and he has kept an open mind to technology as well, but that tends to be the exception rather than the rule. Also, there's a difference between accepting and embracing change. Many people I know who are over 45 tend to accept change and slightly adjust if needed for their career, but they don't embrace most of those changes for almost anything else. It would be nice if society worked the way you portray it, but it's not sustainable. I wish it was possible, but if it was, communism should be possible (but it isn't as constantly proven through history). The only traits most humans share which can't be eliminated (in my opinion), whether it's in a genetic level due to survival or taught by society, are greed and desiring what others have. I believe the desire to be in a better position than others is the sole reason humanity can't achieve such level of harmony, and that's also the entire foundation of capitalism. I don't remember where I read it, but the following phrase is something I'll never forget: "Humans are their only natural predator". In other words, we will be cause our own demise. The only reason for that is because we don't feel satisfied with what we have at any given point. Which leads back to the original point; those who have more money and "power" right now, and require this to fail, will try and make it fail - at least slow it down as much as possible if they can't find a way to profit from it or stop it. These cars might be ready soon, but they will likely require more time (maybe even decades) before most society accepts them as the next step to the future.

For you younguns... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_line_%28telephony%29 Could you imagine telling a 16 year old girl today she will have to share time on her cell phone with 9 other 16 year old girls? Randisist, you need to consider that after you turn 30 you start becoming slightly more stubborn with each year that passes, and you like change less and less. Well, at least that's how it used to be. Millenials (me included) will probably not suffer from this as we have lived in a society where everything is constantly changing, but most people born before the 70's will probably not accept change as easily. In any case, I believe this kind of technology will be available soon, but I don't think most people will welcome it gracefully. There will be resistance from multiple sources, the most important ones being consumers and governments. Although this seems like an ideal "thing", consider how many jobs would be lost, and how many dollars would stop flowing into the economy because of this. Insurance companies, hospitals and other medical industry businesses, factories dedicated to car parts (many parts wouldn't be necessary any longer, so decrease in revenue is a given), the metallurgic industry (less steel needed for car parts) and many other examples exist to sustain why this isn't a good thing when taking the economy into consideration. And that's the top of the iceberg; you would still need to consider whether oil owners accept the change, because if they consider it a threat instead of an opportunity, these guys will take strong measures to make sure this doesn't take off as easily. These cars might be ready to be used in most industrialized countries at some point during the next 5 years, but I don't think these will become widely accepted for at least the next 20-30 years.

In my opinion, anything that may come back to haunt you later on your life should never be done with any recording device nearby (yes, that includes webcams).

Things moving "on their own" and "shadows" in a friends house.
We then learned a guy killed his wife and daughter and committed suicide there... Oh, and yes, we did see things move "on their own" in front of us (it's not like someone was moving it while we weren't watching); his dog would also stare towards the area where something was about to happen. You could feel there was something else in there. He left a few years ago to another country and I haven't had any experiences with paranormal stuff since then. I used to be very skeptical; now I don't know if there can be a logical scientific explanation for what happened. I guess I'll never know.Maybe a magnetic field or a some weird scientific explanation could debunk the thought of paranormal activity there, but that would require a study which will most likely never happen.

Sadly, there's nothing you can do to have him notice and break up with her. From personal experience I say you can either
a) tell him that you won't mention this again, but you feel responsible as his friend to tell him this girl doesn't really care for him and he deserves better. she seems to want him only for his cash. Note: Usually people who stick with this kind of garbage tend to be insecure (especially about ending up alone), so don't be aggressive when saying it. Point it out and tell him he will find someone; at least to try 3 month time-out to think things through (if he does, then take him to all night clubs available; just kidding, but help him get out and socialize, meet new people, maybe a friend of your wife). or b) stay quiet.

Update, I just checked the groups and Group A and Group F are the other two which can be easily predicted. Brazil and Argentina should have no trouble winning all matches.

Yeah, that's an easy call; just like saying Brazil will win theirs. There are several groups (more than 3, but I don't remember all of them) that have three "so-so" teams and a top-class team, so it's obvious that one team will dominate that group.
For a challenge try predicting the first and second position of group D.

Obviously if there is a heat wave and that number is pushed up, it could affect some teams, but over all at this point it's a moot point for capping. Portugal always seem to disappoint in WC. It's also tough to repeat, and Spain will certainly have their work cut out. I haven't looked too deep into groups and possibilities yet. Hard to not consider Brazil in any predictions, considering how good they always are, and that they are the hosts. Italy might be on my radar as a dark horse. Yet, Brazil has a higher humidity, which is the reason I brought it up; and if you've never been in a country with tropical climate, let me tell you it affects you in a different way (I hate it). I used to play soccer with my high school team and on several occasions we traveled to other countries to play on school championships, and a slight change in humidity on a tropical weather has a big effect. In any case, assuming only Brazil has the upper hand due to their climate (meaning everyone else will be affected equally), Italy would be a good contender when ignoring their contenders for the quarter finals; if they manage to get the second position of Group D, they would play against Colombia and then against Brazil (most likely), and Brazil would probably take them out. If Italy gets first position, they need to play against Spain or the Netherlands (probably Spain) in quarter-finals, and Spain would probably win that one. Also, that would be if they manage to get through group D; Uruguay and England have very good teams, and even when Costa Rica will most likely be unable to win any of the matches, they can prove to be a real annoyance for any of these teams (even be the reason for one of them to end up third instead of second). What I don't get is why sportsbooks are giving Belgium such good odds. I can't see them making them past quarter finals if they somehow manage to make it past the round of 16. P.S. I just saw the odds on Bovada for some matches, and they have Costa Rica as a favorite against Uruguay at +1.5. I'm almost 100% certain that betting for Uruguay is a sure bet with this odds (Costa Rica might do a miracle, so I can't say I'm totally certain, but almost).
