Blaming the coahing because they gave their best player the ball and spread the floor to take last shot??? Have you watched the NBA before...Every team does the same thing in that situation. This isn't college Daywalker...this is Celtics with veteran team you think there is some magic set-play that's gonna get Heat a backdoor lay-up or wide open shot...ha ha Every NBA game is same the problem is the Heat's best player NEVER comes up big in this situation. Simple as it gets.

Asomugha I have read all your post and I realize you are probly 16 and don't really know much about basketeball but out of curiosity how many times will LBJ have to choke before you change your mind about his legacy or have you drawn a line in the sand that no matter what he ever does you got his back. He will eventually make a big play in a big game but if it takes 6 more years will you still be on this sinking ship????

Obviously coaching??? Has nothing to do with the great LBJ doing what he does in every big spot...piss his pants and look like a deer in headlights. This guy gets the ball in crunch time for every big game can't the law of averages kick in at some point or get lucky and just bank one in from top of key or something... One f'in time please make a big shot. It's crazy people even bring his name up when comparing MJ, Bird, Magic. Just crazy!!! And yes if you are wondering I lost under and heat because he gets caught in air and throws the ball to the ever dangerous Haslem for a 17 foot jump shot. He really is superman for 3 quarters and a complete mental midget for the 4th. Maybe the least mentally tough superstar in any sport...EVER...Yes that includes you A-Rod. |

As you can tell from my post I think he is a mental midget and I wouldn't want him anywhere near the ball in crunch time, however, with that said he deserved the MVP. He excells in regular season when everyone is going about 80%. His god given physical gifts and athleticism allow him to be a stat stuffer and he was best player during regular season. Once the intensity is cranked up and everyone is going 110 percent he is far less effective. + we see how comfortable he is when game is on line so he is different person in post season especially in the post season against top notch competition. He can't just rely on his athleticism.

Kevmode....how many more max contract guys do you want the Heat to have before they have enough talent...Maybe they can re-work the salary cap for LBJ so they can add a 4th max contract guy. Maybe if they get Dwight Howard that would be enough..

Larry Brown should get more credit for making it to the NBA finals with Iverson. I have no idea how you make it to the finals with your star player shooting 40%, not playing defense, dominating the ball, and a complete cancer off the court. At least Iverson wanted the ball at the end of the game and wasn't pissing his pants in the corner like Mr. James...Sorry couldn't resist the LBJ jab... |

Dwight Howard best player???? Comparing Minnesota's roster with current Heat roster is just dumb. They have 3 max contract guys...People will keep making excuses for Lebron until he wins a title or retires. I also agree with the person who pointed out that when LBJ loses his athleticsm he will be just another good player. He doesn't have the foot work that Kobe has to get shots off or the turn around jumper that Kobe and MJ developed as they got older. + he isn't an elite shooter so he can't stand around three point line when other create shots.

Lebron=Pippen....very good passer, great defender, good scorer but not great and not an elite shooter like Durant or Dirk. Once in a lifetime freak athlete...Mental midget though who hides in corner when it matters most and won' take it to rack late in game because he is afraid to go to line. Will probably win many more empty regular season MVP's and good chance no rings unless Wade and Bosh play great at end of games. People who say he is best ever or compare him to Jordan with current resume are seriously confused or a Miami Heat fan...or maybe both.

Amen KickenA....Speaks for itself...We may think Lebron is better than Wade but when game is on line I don't think Lebron believes it and there lies the problem. He's a mental midget.

He is a better version of Scottie Pippen...He is a better Robin than Batman. I would love to have him on my team the first three qtrs but after that there are 20 guys in the league I would rather have in crunch time..Just mental for him and maybe it will change but I doubt it. Just please stop putting him in the same category as the game's all time great closers. He has no business being mentioned with those guys...

Last night's game was a typical Lebron performance. Big stage two missed free throws but most telling thing is who did they go to when game was on line???....D Wade. Enough with the greatest of all time or even with the talk that he is better than Kobe or Durant. The guy is a athletic freak and stat stuffer but when it matters most and game is on line I wouldn't want him touching the ball. He is a mental midget and looks like Tiger woods standing over 3 foot putt. Lost, confused, and scared. Give me Kobe/Durant/Paul, hell even Melo with 10 seconds left and down one....Lebron will probly win 3 or 4 more regular season MVP's and unless D Wade makes big shots at end of play-off games he will have no championships. There is a reason he left Cavs and thats because he knew he needed to play with someone like Wade who is willing to take/make big shots at the end of the games. He is a great talent and has once in a lifetime physical gifts but he is proof some people just don't have the mentality to be great when it matters most. Jordan Kobe Montana Jeter Bird...these guys were their best when it mattered most. Lebron is cut from more of the A Rod mold...best when it matters the least. |

I am amazed how people really don't care that the guy is a ghost in the biggest moments. So you thought he was the best when he played for Cavs ...hmmm you did watch him in the playoffs and watched him quit in game 5 which was the biggest gaem of his life up to that point...Yes quit. People said it was because West slept with his mom and all that B.S. but can you imagine Bird or Magic having a game like that. When I say game like that I don't mean a poor performance I mean a game where he mentally checks out and throws up the white flag. The Favre comparison to Kobe is a strange comparison. If you are saying both guys are arrogent idiots then I can't disagree but if you are comparing as athletes you are nuts. Kobe is best in big moments and although Favre did win 1 super bowl he came up short more times than not in big spots. After reading the comments on Covers I am convinced it doesn't matter to people if he ever is clutch or wins a championship. Just keep winning regular season MVPs and you are good. Crazy stuff...When he left Cleveland(his home time) to play with Wade it spoke volumes about his personality/mentality. Bird and Magic have said as much. |
