Might want to take a look at the Cubs lineup today....No Soriano, Ramirez, Theriot, or Soto....Just thought I'd mention it. GL

shouldn't be close....Maryland's first road game all season against a good Miami team...Plus Maryland just lost at home to Morgan St... Team is not very good...Miami by double digits no problem

Always respect the picks Bird...check them everyday....I attend Indiana University and never miss a game....With that said, this game will not be close....It might be respectful out of the gate or even first half, because IU starts games well and hangs tough for awhile, but this is not a Division one basketball team we are talking about here...Even the "true road game in the big ten" factor doesn't come into play here because this Indiana team is a one in a million situation...Embarassed by Lipscomb and Northeastern at home....I just don't wanna see everyone lose money by takin the Hoosiers, Michigan is the play big time, or at least make it a no play....GL Bird

I am a Hoosier (currently go to IU, lived in Indiana forever, etc.)....If you don't have your bank account on Michigan -7 then there is something wrong with you.....

Went 2 - 0 on teasers yesterday in college football, looking for another big hit today...Going with one college hoops and one college football tonight....I know some of you hate teasing, but in my opinion it's the best way to make money (as long as you keep it to 2 team teasers and not like 4 or 5 team ones), so if you are interested, here is the "tease" of the day.....
Today's Play Syracuse -3 (BBALL) Alabama -3 (FBALL) ** I know USF beat Cuse at USF last year, but that was a different USF team and a WAYYY different Cuse team...The Orange are a top 15 team this year and are red hot and in my opinion there is no way they lose this game today...Flynn is too tough and Rautins has been on fire..Take Syracuse. ** We have seen what small conference schools have done in big bowl games, and this one should be no different. Alabama is too tough on both sides of the ball and will control the line of scrimmage on both sides as well. I'm not calling for a Georgia/Hawaii outcome, all I need is Alabama to cover -3. Having said that, I feel Alabama should beat up on Utah pretty good, but even if Utah plays a great game and keeps it close, Bama should still win this game 9 out of 10 times. GL |

Yesterday: 1-0 (Easy cover with Rutgers) Tonight's Plays Uconn -6 Cincinnati +13 **For starters, Uconn is flat out better than GTown. They are maybe the only team who could beat UNC right now. Also, the game is being played in Hartford. Uconn just went at Gonzaga (for the most part even though it wasn't officially home) and beat a very good Zags team. Georgetown has had 3 "tough" games this year: lost to Tennessee by double digits, smoked Maryland, and grinded out a tough win against a less than stellar Memphis team. Plus Uconn is Georgetowns worst nightmare matchup wise, big and physical. Freshman Monroe will have his hands full all night with Thabeet and Adrien. This should not be a problem for Uconn as they win by double digits. **As for the Cincy game, 13 points is a ton for a Memphis team to lay when they have not beaten ANYBODY this season (lost to Cuse, GTown, and Xavier). This is an old rivalry renewed and it will be a very physical game. Cincinnati is not great, but they played well against Xavier, beat a tough UNLV on the road along with wins against Miss St. and UAB. Honestly, Cincy could win this game straight up based on how Memphis has played this year, although I wouldn't bet on it. But I would be majorly shocked to see Memphis cover this line and blow out Cincy. Cincy plus the points all day. |

Could not agree more....Uconn may be the only team that has a shot at beating UNC, they are that good.. I have seen Georgetown play numerous times this year and they just don't have enough to handle Uconn on the road...Monroe will get his "welcome to the Big East" moment tonight against Thabeet/Adrien.. Like Uconn by double digits...GL

Cincy covers this all day everytime....Old rivalry renewed and Memphis hasn't proven ANYTHING this year....Memphis might come away with the win, but definitely not my 14....

Rutgers +32
** Easiest play of the day. Obviously if UNC played all out and the entire time they would win by 45, but if you have watched the last 3 UNC games you would have realized that they take a 26-28 point lead into the last 3 or 4 minutes and then let the JV team take over, which eventually leads to a 20 point win...For UNC to cover, they will have to be up 40 with 3 or 4 minutes to go. Rutgers isn't good by any means, but they are good enough to cover 32. |

Should not be a problem at all as I see Texas rolling by double digits...Michigan St. is vastly overrated (just like every other season) and has not played well to date...Game is in Texas and I don't see a small Izzo squad traveling to Houston and beating a very good Longhorn team...

NCAAB YTD: 24-14
** Record dropped after a horrendous 1-3 on Thursday (seemed like everyone kind of took a beating that night though) Back on the horse today though... Early Leans Cornell -2 Texas -6 Temple +10.5 Boston College -5 Arizona St. -3.5 Memphis -7 **Memphis and Texas are my two "plays of the day"....Michigan St. is not very good and ridiculously overrated every season (why they won't stop rating them high pre-season i don't know)...Syracuse without Devendorf is enough for Memphis to cover at home, let alone possibly without Flynn, or at least only a 60% Flynn.... Thoughts?? |

No Devendorf and possibly no Flynn.....hostile environment at Memphis....I'll take the Tigers to cover

Yesterday: 3-2 (worst day in over a week) Tonights Card La Tech +3.5 S. Alabama -4 Ole Miss +17.5 Miss. St. +5.5 ** Bought a few points on Ole Miss....Neutral floor and Louisville's game-to-game shakiness makes me think Ole Miss will cover...The 'Ville is good, but haven't proven this year that they will beat a big 6 team by 20 on a neutral floor. **Miss. St. intrigues me after obviously thanks to Varnado's ability to take over a game....Cincy didn't show me much against the X Men at home...Might pull it out, but I think either way Miss. St. covers. |

2-0 Last night thanks to both Tennessee schools.. Wednesday's Plays Siena +18.5 Can @ Syr U 142.5 UTEP pk Austin Peay +7.5 ECU +9.5 ** Bought points on UTEP and AP....Really like the Canisius/Syracuse under....Canisius can't score and unless Cuse puts up 90, then should be under. I see something like 77-53 Cuse |
