Aside from the game against the Canes, the Pens losses have been competitive and they have played tougher competition as of late than the Flyers. I think the line is fair but give Pens the edge with Malkin back. |

I think Anaheim is a smart play tonight. Granted, they do suck and are probably going to clean house by season's end...however, there are two factors here to consider:
1) They got embarrassed on Saturday and I think will be eager to prove their mettle tonight, especially with the veteran leadership they have up front with Getzlaf, Perry and Kesler. 2) They still have an elite goaltender in Gibson who is capable of stealing games when the Ducks get badly out-chanced. He had probably one of his worst games ever last game, and odds are he will be much better tonight (as most elite goaltenders would in this situation)
I'm not saying the Ducks will win but there is definitely value there as I expect a much better effort form the Ducks tonight. |

Kings have turned things around and aren't in full rebuild mode just yet...Rangers however, are in rebuild mode but still have a few good veteran pieces along with Lundqvist. I value the Kings here as I do think they are overall a more skilled team with more of an urgency to try and turn around what has been a dreadful 1st half off the season. |

I liked that Senators game breakdown, you nailed that one right on the head.
Hawks game was competitive but the line didn't make sense to me. Hawks do look better as of late though, especially with the new goalie. |

I wonder if sacremento is a good 1st half play...no Rondo, and well they usually come to play in the 1st half like they have the past few games at home.

Good luck Mavin. Win or lose tonight, you are a solid handicapper.

the bucks -4 seems too easy though...why would NJ, being on the road, struggling, 2nd of back to back games, only be a 4 point dog.
Bucks are no pushover and are within the playoff race. Shouldn't this be at least -5.5? Or do the Bucks get less respect from public bettors than I thought?

Great stuff man, I like people who play the dogs once in a while. Short and sweet rationale for your pick.

Now what?....Is it just lucky that they beat OKC? Or that Lebron just shut up his critics for one game about how Durant is better than him?
Heat haters on this board are non-stop, it makes me wonder if they ever even played competitive sports before, they think the Heat should go 82-0 every year and get a ring....doesn't work that way.

How are they a joke?
Just because you listed some teams they list to, all of which are elite or above average.

Because everyone has been talking about how overrated the Clippers team is( and especially Blake Griffin), anything that goes against their expert opinion just does not compute.

The theory was actually tested throughout sports pages, coaches are prone to it too by blaming losses on refs and bad luck sometimes rather than their own team's effort/skill. However, when was the last time a coach admits that his team won due to favourable calls ...would be funny though.

cause they don't take accountability for their bets...they blame it on players and refs and just say it's fixed.
On this forum, a player looked as a golden goose when he wins you money, once he loses the people here hang them out to die. The funniest part is people ripping on others who ruin their over/under bets...as if teams or players care about the over/under, Players want to win, they don't care if you lose money or cost you your meaningless fantasy weekly matchup. a LOSS hurts them more than you mentally, they gotta deal with reporters and shit. If you lose a bet you don't have to make an explanation to anyone or be subject to criticism by the fans.
