Interesting thread. Keep it up Gekko. All these over the hill haters are going to hate on you because they didn't get a chance to live out the dream. You are in a good spot to take the chance which is hard to find. Most 30 year olds in America have obstacles that hold them back from the situation you are in. You will think about it for the rest of your life if you pass on it. Stay excited and committed and you will make it work (whether or not you beat the books). Would love to follow and see a youtube channel. I'm sure many others would too; make some Google ads money out of it but keep it real.

Roger Goddell Will Absolutely Not Be Handing the Vince Lombardi Trophy To New England
in NFL Betting
It's amusing that some people feel that these playoff games are somehow rigged. The theory that I've heard most often is that it would make the league, owner's and advertisers more $$ to have certain teams progress.
The issue is that the amounts of $$ are too great for any of it to be fixed. There are millions of eyeballs on the games, and a ridiculous amount of people and incomes that depend upon it. Everyone that is involved in the league has an interest and if they even so much as suspect that it is costing their family a dime, it would be fought tooth and nail. Smaller amounts of $$ losses could be bought off, shooshed or just swept under the rug for the integrity of the game..ie female tennis, small time NCAA basketball, 4th tier soccer, etc. But the NFL playoffs...come on man! |

Hey Roger Goodell. Patriots win SB again your product is going way down in value

If you think the Pats winning is bad for the NFL, think about the choice the NFL had on Saturday for which game to put in primetime. SEA/ATL or HOU/NE. They chose NE because it made them more money. NFL is fine with Pitt or NE going on to the SB. NE winning it all won't hurt a thing.

Home field is as much, if not more important in the Playoffs as in the regular season.

Just started following the boards on this site. Great topic.
I think it would open with Pats -3 over either NFC team especially since the AFC is currently -3 over NFC at the major books. Also, it is a standard number. Might lean -3.5 against the Pack. Steelers v Falcons would possible open at ATL -1/1.5 or maybe PK to keep the Stillers Nation from pouncing all over it. Steelers v Pack could go anywhere (+ or -3 at the most) depending on how this Sunday's games go as it would be two underdogs winning in a certain unexpected fashion. |
