Great system
centralflaguy. I do something very similar, have been for a couple years now. Always keeps me in the green. I usually pick 3-4 teams in the beginning of the week and on the weekend sets. My biggest lessons learned are money management and to stay away from 4 game sets.
Money Management- If I start the season at $100 per game on game 1, I continue all year at $100 on game 1. There are times when I guess wrong, doing this makes sure I don't get wiped out by a couple bad plays. You will have streaks of a couple, to hopefully a few, weeks where you are on fire, kinda like now. But the bad will come. Keeping the same bet amount will help you through the tough times and not wipe you out. 4 game sets- I usually stay away until after the 1st game is decided, essentially making it a 3 game set if the team I like drops the 1st game. I was burned a couple times pretty good by 4 game home sweeps, where the chase was pretty high. A couple times because the chase was too high and I was afraid play them, and a couple more because of something crazy like the first 4 game home sweep in 30 something shit years. But it does happen. People here are going to hate this system because of Martingale horror stories. Don't listen to them. First weekend of this season, there were 5 sweeps out of the 30 teams. Meaning you and I had an 83.34% chance of picking winning teams and not getting swept. Best odds in the casino. Keep doing what you're doing. Trust your gut and see who's got what at the end of the season. Good luck.

Good question, think I might be able to help somewhat. I frequently travel to and have lived in Vegas. Here's what I've seen so far. I am a Platinum member of both Harrah's Total Rewards and Mlife.
Most important thing is to find the best line!!! What's more important to your bottom line, a free room/comps, convenience, 1 point or a -110 over a -125? That's all on you. But I have gone all the way from the MGM to the Hilton for -15 on the money line on a big bet. At a $1,000 bet, that's $100 difference, which is easily a room/dinner/tix to Cirque.
Total Rewards does give Tier credits at the sports book which can be used for room upgrades and such, depending on your current card level. Only downfall is they hose you on the ratio. Last time I was up there the old lady at the ticket counter said it was still 10 Tier credits per $100 bet. Which is total bullshit, but better than nothing. It always pisses me off that you can go to the book, bet $2,000 on a team and get your measly 200 credits. Or you can take that $2,000 sit at the Blackjack table for 2 hours and walk away with a room, dinner or show tickets. It's the same $2,000. Bullshit!!! Sorry about my rant, anyway, as far as table games, Total Rewards is a little greedy when it comes to accumulating tier credits. I've had some decent and long sessions at Planet Hollywood and Caesars and was shocked at how few credits I accumulated. Mlife doesn't give you jack shit for sports. But they are pretty good about giving points and comps depending on your level for table games. Their points are a lot like air miles, the higher your tier, the more points you get for money cashed in, time played and bet per hand. I know there are some casinos off the strip, like the Station ones I think, that comp at the sports book just like at the tables. But I can't remember the name, saw it on a billboard, sorry. So for me, it's Total Rewards for sports AND if they have a decent line. Mlife if I feel like blowing $$ at the Tables. Hope this helped. Good luck to you all. |

Detroit. Only 2 winning teams this season, ATL-Apr 14-15-16 and STL-May 15 (postponed) 16-17-18, have been swept at home during a 3 or 4 game series.

Just a thought here, I capped this game with the Gmen a -5 fav, including road and primetime crap, team records, yada yada yada. But, for some reason, Dallas is at -3. Now I keep hearing about this line being a gift from Vegas. Anywhere between 63% and 57%, depending on where you look, of the public is hopping on this "gift". And the line moves up from -2, at open, to -3 when I type this up? Seems fishy to me. I had an old friend tell me two things, Vegas doesn't give gifts on NFL, and, there's a reason there's a city in the middle of the desert.
Anyway, I'm staying away cuz I don't bet on my Boys' games. I do have some morals left, not many, but some. So good luck to all on whatever you choose. Just wanted to share my thoughts.
p.s. Hammering Hank just picked the Giants on Sportscenter, the KISS of DEATH!!!!!!

Hey man, I'm trying to track this too. Miami was the 61.05% consensus pick on wagerline. The system says "but NEVER BET WITH THE PUBLIC!!!!!! UNLESS the favorite is getting less than 55% support." So if I've got this right, it should have been a non play. |

An SEC team in a non conference game is tough to go against.

game preview from yahoo sports.....
As poorly as his team had fared in the past against Boston, Moyer (7-3, 4.12 ERA) has arguably had even more trouble. The 45-year-old left-hander, who made 23 appearances during a stint with the Red Sox in 1996, is 6-11 with a 6.69 ERA — his highest versus any opponent—in 22 career appearances against Boston, including 20 starts. In eight starts versus the Red Sox since May 8, 2001, Moyer is 0-6 with a 9.76 ERA and a .320 opponent batting average. It’s no coincidence that 2001—the beginning of Moyer’s worst stretch against Boston—is the same season Manny Ramirez joined the Red Sox. Ramirez is 17-for-50 (.340) lifetime against Moyer with 10 home runs, the slugger’s most homers against any pitcher as well as the most off Moyer by a single batter. |
