I have never seen anything that made as little sense as that call. It is ONE thing to throw it, but it is a whole other to throw into traffic. There were two ways to lose that game with playcalling... A fade and a slant. Coaches darn up the clock, they play box ball and punt back to the other team with a lead late, but NOBODY throws it there. Plus, Sea had the matchup in their favor as well. Lynch vs. a garbage goaline run defense. I don't blame the OP one bit. It was a stupid call, but more than that it was a RISKY call when no risk was needed. Edit: The ONLY thing that compares to this is the DUMB Appalachian St. coach kicking on first down against Michigan in 07 with 30 seconds left AND timeouts. Other than that, there is nothing close. |

If the line is LSU -4 and moves to -2, take whoever is playing LSU. If you don't want to pay attention to somebody who has been playing as long as you have been alive, that is your choice.

Always go the opposite of a line drop, it will pay off more than 50%. Especially, when the number is around a pick.

They play the 15 games from the 2nd week of December through New Year's when all the universities are on a month long X-mas break. They could use some mid level bowls for the first round & the Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta, Cotton, Gator & Outback for the quarters through the Final on some sort of rotation. The minor bowls would still exist for the next 16-20 teams that get left out of the playoff. The only thing complicated about this is the fact that money would be changing hands from where it goes now in some cases & that is the bone & only reason there isn't a playoff. Very simple! Correct. The presidents don't want to lose their week long trips to resorts and the guy who runs the bowl that makes 500k a year, doesn't want to lose that gig. It has nothing to do with working or not working. There are about 30 presidents blocking it and Jim Delaney, because he knows that the Big 10 can't compete in a playoff. The Big 10 has gotten two teams into the BCS every year except 04 since 2002. Anybody here think they deserved it? He doesn't want to lose that 17 million a year for his conference. |

I will ask you a question, OP. I bet you can't answer.
Before the game, Alabama was ranked #2, right? So, if the number #2, loses to the #1 team, why would they need to be dropped at all? Please explain your answer with logic. If everyone agreed that they were the two best teams before the game, what does them playing, have to do with them not being the two best teams. |

Same as every week. The over in the Oklahoma and Houston games.

All the best, but I have to ask.... How many times have you seen Clemson play? They bring something offensively that GT hasn't seen before. I am a Cane fan and I thought GT would run all over us, we can't tackle. There is not one thing on GT's resume that suggests they stay involved in this game.
So, you are probably right, but I don't think so this time. |

"The #11 team in the country" getting 10 on a neutral, that is the definition of a public dog. Oklahoma is the play.

So, Mahan choked away the Ryder Cup? How many points did he lose on Sunday? BTW, he hit one of the best shots ever on the 70th hole of the US Open in 2009!!! What a choker-lol
Woods has been the best player in the world for his age, plus two years older and everything younger than him ALL his life, yeah, dumb pick. |

It is reasonable to expect one of those three guys to win it. Weather could play a big role though. Good luck.

Oh, and take Yani Tseng all the time in womens golf, she is easily the best and will win half the time she plays if she wants.

Here is how I play. Take a real long shot for a couple of bucks before the tourney. Find a guy that plays late-early preferably. Then, watch the first two rounds and see who is the best rhythm. The guy that is under the least stress, who is making it look easy. Take a couple of them after two rounds for less odds, but bigger bets.
I have had little success with daily matchups and 3-balls. Much more success picking a winner after 36 and 54 holes. Good luck. |

Cut- Take the first round scores, double them and add 1. Sometimes the one isn't needed, but this formula has been around for years.
When the telecast first comes on Fridays, pay NO attention to the current cut line, only the PROJECTED cut line. Thurs. Night 70 players at +2 or better Friday Morning 7 am- Current cut line will still be +2 Friday Morning 7 am- Projected cut line will be +4 or +5 |
