Take Stanford money line. This is my favorite game of the early Pac-10 season. Nailed Cal big last weekend and love this one even better. If the money line seems to far fetched than take the +7 now and run with it. A game like this doesn’t come around too often. Andrew Luck is the nations best QB and the Cardinal defense is for real. Wake Forest isn’t a scoring team but they were still held to 24 points and those were scored against Stanford when the lead was well in hand. UCLA who just put a 38 spot on Texas, 0 points against Stanford. Notre Dame a dismal 14 points. When you look at Oregon, they were dominate against the NCAA worst teams. I watched them play Arizona State last Saturday in their Pac 10 opener and they quite frankly should have lost. The Ducks point production was because they capitalized on Sun Devil turnovers. A young Arizona State QB makes mistakes, a proven Stanford QB will not. Stanford will have few turnovers and I will take a great defense over a great offense any day. Stanford by 7-13 points.

Any thoughts on the o/u?
I like the over here, but I am always scared of the final game of a series during the day. |

The Packers have the best passing game in the NFL...stopping the run is not the issue here.

I would usually take the Bears being a home underdog, but I am going to
take the road favorite. Packers -3. Bears beat Detroit at home (barely) and beat
Dallas who was woeful. Packers remind me of the Patriots of 07’ when they would
beat teams by an average of 10-20 points utilizing a great running attack and an
aerial assault. Mix that in with a Packers defense that is underrated and I
think you have a clear cut winner. The Packers have the best defensive
coordinator in the league and the defense can contain Cutler. Cutler does hold
the highest passing rating in the NFL but if you look at a few of his touchdown
passes…week 1 v. Lions – a 95 yard dump off to Matt Forte, a 40 yard wide open
TD to Forte and week 2 at Cowboys a 60 yard blown coverage TD to Greg Olsen.
Chicago’s defense is good but Aaron Rodgers reads defenses better and has the
upper hand…that’s my opinion even though the Packers schedule has been very
light up to this point and they very well could have lost to the Eagles if Vick
was the starter that game. I like the Pack but it's going to be close...nail biter...no opinion on the o/u.

They are playing for roster spots and building a strong
rotation for the future. Teams in last place or near the bottom of the
standings want to impress the GM’s and coaching staff. The Astros, Cubs and Orioles
for example are all playing to win and build on the future.
