Love that kid Rose for ATL. Why were they so stingy with him? If they rely less on Smith and more on Rose, then ATL will get my bet.

To reiterate: After the game tonight, now more than ever:
MTSU +2. FLINT may have won a few, but they have been as lucky as a team can get: totally dominated on stats and yet pulling out victories. They're opportunists, which I don't hold against them, but the luck runs out Saturday. Without capitalizing on all the turnovers, this team is as bas as it's ever been. |

At 52 I like the under.

Not totally scrupulous about my record keeping, but in the sun belt I'm in the neighborhood 12-2

Under might be worthwhile at 52.

Trojan defense will eat Rusty Smith alive. Their speed won't allow Atl to move. I'm on Troy, obviously. You make some good points, but the OWLs looked like such dogshit last week, even though--for gambling analysis--they won that game, but I can't bet on them against a generally sound program like Troy's.

Troy -3. Should murder the owls but I bought the hook anyhow. Rusty won't be able to pass on Troy's secondary. If you've seen Troy play this year, then you know they are a legitimately solid team.

No plays on the other two games yet. Any S-belt followers want to comment on them? LMon looks like shit, but I don't know about ARKYSt laying 13. LLAF's rush is as good as it comes, but can they score enough to cover 22 at NTSU. |

Will be a poor showing for the S-Belt this weekend. Only MTS will cover, and that one's worth a small play on the moneyline while we're at it. No idea about the Ark/ULM game. UAB +13 @ FLATL Tulsa -21.5 vs. NTEX MTS +13 vs. MD

Anyone know Lane's status?
20 points seems like too many for a team undergoing some radical changes to be giving to a fairly solid AS team. Aggies beat no one by 20. Arky usually hangs tough and rarely looses by wide margins. Thinking hard about Arky State and the points.

Arky State lost their entire D secondary. I also heard that Leonard and Arnold might not be 100%. O-line has holes. On the other hand, A&M sucks, though the QB and RB Lane might give AS much trouble. 20 is a bunch of points, but I'm just not sure.

Only three plays that I can figure:
Troy -6.5 ULM +26.5 FLATL +23 I'm leaning toward KState -24 vs. North Tex, but no play yet.

Who's posting a line other than 5dimes? I'm on the Greek. Any hope of getting it there?
I'll be in Salem tomorrow for the game. No doubt about Mount's excellence, but -23 seem outrageous.

Things went my way in the S. Belt last week, though the LMonroe was closer than I liked: 3 for 3
Here's what I see this weekend: Troy -15 @ Atlantic (they can do this at will, and the number of seniors--including Haugabook and Cattouse--provides the will for them to blow the Owls out.) North Texas -2.5 @FlInt (love this bet. Todd Dodge's offense has put it together; their passing is excellent, and it's not just long bombs but also short and mid-range passes. Intl's FRESHMAN QB was hurt last week, and I don't know who will start. INT wants this season over. NTex sees hope.) Good luck |

Little late in the season to begin posting, but I'll hand over my S.Belt picks for this week. This it the only conference I follow. I usually get them right
LMonroe -2.5 @ LLaf (rivalry, but Monoroe is superior) Troy -11 v. MTS (only unforeseeable fuckups will allow MTS to cover) FlaAtl -11 @ FlInt (Pierre should run away with this) |

Troy is the play here. I've followed the Sunbelt closely for a while; these are the top two, but Troy is a full two touchdowns better.
