TCU (-20) Its hard for me to lay nearly three TD's to a road team going into its first conference game. However, once you look into what TCU has done, and especially on the road, I have no problem laying the points. I expect Kansas to be completely outmatched by a team that plays some of its best football on the road, and is going to be hungry in its first conference game. VT (-10) I'm simply fading PITT, and with articles coming out on whether or not to let redshirt freshman Chad Voytik get some playing time at QB if things get bad, I'm going to continue to fade. Another fav on the road, but I have no problem laying the wood and watching VT winning outright by double digits. *Both plays are 4 units Will update thread on afternoon games in the morning |

I was trolling the boards and figured I was the only one who saw some value in the Oilers tonight!

I can't figure it out... every way I look at it, I find value in making a play on the under...just can't pass it up. Might need help getting out of this trap.
Thanks for your responses HookEm and spartak

I just use a local book, and they don't offer a (-1) in hockey.
Where can you find that? How is taking that not the same as ML? I understand you just push if the team you pick wins by 1, but is there a certain logic in not taking that (-1) every time instead of the juice on the ML? Just never seen it before and curious. Thanks

Emery at home has been a beast... granted he hasn't faced many high caliber teams at home, but still wouldn't touch that bet.

YTD 2-1 (+1.05u) Yesterday’s Play: Red Wings choke in (Reg) again 2u (-110). You would have thought with all those Red Wings jerseys in the stands that DET was playing at home last night and would have pulled it off in Regulation. Tough break, should have laid the wood. *** Tonight I’m riding back into the
United Center and rolling
with the Blackhawks TT Over 3 at -125. I
was considering the Over 5.5, but Emery has been lights out at Home and saw
better value in a hot team that is averaging nearly 4.5 goals over its last 5
games (2 goals on the road in DET the only below 3). I’m also looking at the DAL/TB Over 5.5. With
Ribeiro and Benn out, it’s been rough
putting up more than a couple goals - averaging only 1.8 Goals over the
last 5
games for the Stars. They put up
tremendous effort going B2B with the Blues and Red Wings.
With a couple days off, I look for the Stars
to come out rested and ready to pound the TB net. There
isn’t a better team rolling in town to
put up goals against right now than TB – averaging 4.4 against over the last 5
games. I look for this game to be a high
scoring shootout, blowing over
the 5.5 total. Stacked Picks: Blackhawks
TT Over 3 (-125) 2u Stars/Lightning Game Total Over 5.5 (-115) 2u As always - BOL Gents |

Yotes turn it around on the home-stand....but NOT tonight!
With you bud, took the Wings in Reg. BOL |

Detroit is a dangerous team right now focused on getting points...granted it's been rough for them on the road, but if there is any team DET has been successful against on the road....It would be the Yotes.
Took the Wings tonight (Reg) 2u -110. Also - made a play on the 1st period OVR 1.5 (look at both the Yotes and Wings last 4 or 5 games in the first period) Probably a trap but I'm taking the bait. BOL to ya! |

I wouldn't play either, but I think the Devils could give the Bruins a run for their money!

Stacked YTD 2-0
+3.25U Yesterday’s play – CHI blowout on the PL 1u. Since the ball dropped
for 2012, the Yotes have only played
two games at home. They managed to win
both games, outscoring the Islanders 5-1, and the Avs 6-1.
PHO has proven they play well at home,
however they are really struggling overall right now. After a late night
getting demoralized by the Mighty Ducks,
seeing DET roll in to town today is probably not the cure for the
Coyotes. Detroit comes into PHO focused and only
one
point behind the Blackhawks -who put on a show last night. I really thought the
Yotes would contend better than they
did with the Ducks, but it just goes to show that there are issues
greater than just playing on the road with that team. A
six game homestand will help turn the Yotes
around, but not tonight. Don’t really need to go
into too many stats on tonight’s
game. Howard has been fantastic, and
although DET has had its own issues on the road, PHO is a team that the
Wings
have had proven success with on the road. I don’t foresee this
game heading into OT, therefore I’m
flying with the Wings down in the desert tonight in regulation at -110. Good luck my friends!
Stacked play: Redwings (REG) 2u (-110) ***I usually don’t do this, and I’m not going to play it as a unit or to my record (Just for fun), but I’m also making a small play on the 1st period over 1.5. I don’t know what’s been going on in the first period for these teams but PHO has a 3 goal average its last 4 games in the first period, and DET has a 2.5 goal average the first period over the last 4 games. Might need help getting out of this trap, but I’m taking the bait on a small play on the OVER 1.5 first period at -110. |

bkz - I have no doubt that the Sabres will show up tonight. The game being on national TV, they don't want to embarrass themselves. However, I'm banking on the better team right now jumping out to an early lead and BUF collapsing and losing all confidence once again. If the Sabres do indeed jump out early, I don't see them keeping a lead for very long, and for those who take the PL, we can always pray for an empty netter...
I just don't think BUF can hang with CHI right now. Not the right game to end their road slump. BOL whatever you choose! Potvin |
