Some of you folks are taking yourselves a bit too seriously. Train is funny. He gets it.

Nice, I was 11 - 0 this afternoon too, but just like you, I forget to tell anyone before the games started.

Yo, Crack Dick, what were your plays today? Better change that to 2 - 3 with Bama Under on the way. Go climb back under the your rock.

So the best capper on here gives a game with a number and the line moves in your favor and then you wonder if you should play it? Jesus. Just stop gambling.

I get the end of game fouls from the trailing team, but the foul when up 7 with 18 seconds to go makes no sense, even if the guy is going in for a dunk.

Maybe the young lads are not physically tired, but from a mental standpoint, close games, OT games are emotionally and mentally draining. It seems to me that many of the plays Neil makes are combinations of teams that are coming off one of these and are due for an upward bounce in effort, and the expectation that their opponent could well be due for a drop off in effort, efficiency, etc.....

Any thoughts on the total of Drexel v Wm and Mary tonight? Thanks in advance.

Finding it tough to believe that a $100 player is about to risk $24,000 in one afternoon. But good luck to ya'.

Nropp, what are your thoughts on Illinois vs Minny tomorrow night? Minn playing better, with revenge and historically much better at home. Both teams quite inconsistant. I see the Gophers winning, but would be hard pressed to lay more than 3 or 4.

Why would the team up by between 13 and 16 in the last minute be fouling? St Peters shot the last 6 free throws of the game in the final 1:22. Ridiculously stupid players or coaching. |

Young for IUPUI has 18 with 11 minutes to go, but Westbrook is getting layup after layup after layup. Nice call on Greensboro. Right on with "They will get tons of open looks" as they made 14 threes.

Your insight is always entertaining, but you contradict yourself (even within the same paragraph) frequently...in case you didn't realize this in your 60 word sentences. It's almost like you write so much so you can talk yourself into a hunch by writing more sometimes. In my buzzed stupor, I came to a realization tonight. NONE of your guesses on these smaller conference games come from your experience actually watching these teams play. It's all from advanced per possession and other gooby goo stats and none of it from actual eye test analysis. I don't discount the merit of some of these stats, but to base your entire analysis on these stats only is selling yourself short. How in the world could you possibly know that TN Martin should cover 12 tonight against TN St. or that Ark Pine Bluff should come within 17.5 of UTEP? Don't even try to tell us that you've seen Ark PB, TN Martin or TN St. actually play a full game this year. A winning capper should be able to combine these stats that you use (and that I and the rest of us use) with what you actually see with you own eyes. I tailed you on these smaller games b/c I moronically believed you actually had some insight that the rest of the public wasn't privy to.....I'M AN IDIOT FOR THAT. If you were actually that good, you'd be charging $500/month and not hitting 48% of your bets. I'm only writing this to save the next Joe Schmoe that hops on this site and sees your 1500 word write-up on Chicago St. vs. New Jersey Institute of Technology for 3 units their money. We all know damn well that you've never seen either of these teams play with your own eyes. Just because PG John Adams scores 1.28 ppp and that Rod Duncan allows .873 ppp against, that doesn't mean shit if you've never seen either in person. Adams could be a 5'1 popcorn fart that shoots a set shot only and Duncan could be a 6'5 lanky fucker that wouldn't even need to move his feet to guard this little Adams fucker....but once again you (or any of us) wouldn't have the slightest clue since we've never seen either in person. My advice... save your 50 minutes of typing and cap games that you actually KNOW something about and stop trying to outsmart yourself betting on these mid to lower tier conferences ONLY and trying to make yourself look like a genius when your record clearly shows that you are not. Funny you picked two games to yack about that where both could have easily covered. Ark PB was down 9 with under 7 to go and did not score again. Tenn Martin was down 9 with 6:30 to go(admittedly, not as good only getting 12), and scored 4 points the rest of the way. I will take both of those dogs on most nights to split at the worst in that position late in the game. And I certainly would not want to be on both favorites. |

Thanks for all the insights, nropp. I don't see how the Gophers hang in this one. First true road game of the season and they historically find it tough in Champagne. I also think Illinois has the advantage with a more physical inside game. Not sure how Williams will react to getting banged around inside, and Sampson won't be inside to get banged around. If the Illini come to play at all, it could get ugly.

Oh. And don't mean to be a pain, but my logical mind likes order and accuracy. Wisky game did not go over.

I often think bad weather can help games go over. Turnovers in your own end, leading to quick scores the other way.
