Love the Akron pick. Ohio is a good team but Tettleton is not 100% healthy yet and they have a ton of guys out on defense. Akron should be able to throw the ball around enough to put points on the board...especially against a very young, inexperienced secondary. Ohio will win outright because I think they can run at will on 'Kron but Akron and the points is my favorite play this week. Good luck brother

Ohio is a no play for me until they get some of their defensive starters back. They are very green on D and will continue to give up big plays until they get healthy. As crazy as it sounds, there will be good value on Kent State and Akron against Ohio.

That's a lot of points to lay in a big let down spot IMO. NMSU has the travel to deal with but they played tight last year and put up big yardage in the air in week 1 (against lesser competition). I think Ohio wins but I wouldn't be surprised with a 37-20 type win. With Norfolk State next week the Bobcats are already thinking about 3-0 heading to rival Marshall and that scares me. Just my 2 cents. BOL this week... |

Hey guys, I've been reading here forever and figured I'd start posting my plays. If for nothing else, it will hopefully encourage some discussion and help us all cash some tickets. Best of luck to all this week. Only 4 plays now for this week. 1) South Carolina -4. Yea, I bought this one too early but it is what it is. Both teams have issues / changes at QB. Quite frankly I believe the distraction that is Garcia being gone helps USCe. Miss St has lost their identity and you don't know what you are going to get from their QB...no matter which one plays. I don't want to read too much into what Carolina did last week but I think they win comfortably along the lines of 27-13. 2 Unit Play. 2) Michigan +3. I think UM is a live dog here. Basically this pick is based on 2 things...Denard Robinson is a big time playmaker and I don't think UM loses for the 4th straight time in this rivalry series. We'll find out how good that MSU D really is this week. 1 Unit Play. 3) Cinci -14.5. Grabbed this Sunday night but apparently missed it by a few hours as I've seen numbers that are even lower. Homecoming for Cinci (even though the game is at Paul Brown) and I think they will put up quite a few points on Louisville. Breaking it down Cinci has a distinct advantage in total yards (440/342), rushing yards (220/116) and points scored (45/16). I think Pead has a big day here. Looking for 33- 13 final. 1 Unit Play. 4) Georgia Tech -7. This game drove me crazy this week. I got burned like apparently everyone else in the NC State game and stayed off them last week but for better or worse couldn't stay away this week. I think UVA is lucky to have the record they have and that has been against less than stellar competition. Struggling to beat Indiana and OT against Idaho aren't enough to prepare for this Offense. I think GT comes out of their funk from last week to blast the UVA defense. Don't discount Al Groh putting together a spirited gameplan against his former employer as well. UVA will be a competitive team in the near future under London but they aren't there yet. I think this game gets out of hand and expect Washington to take over with his arm and legs. Rocco is set to start for UVA and has thrown for decent yardage (+1000) but hard to overlook 2 TDs and 7 INTs. Giving the Jackets a short field won't help. I might be a sucker on this one but I don't see it staying close. 45 - 17. 2 Unit Play. Good luck to all. Any feedback is appreciated. |
