Ok everyone, First of all I'm gonna start by saying I'm a UGA fan and I love my dawgs, that being said I'm somewhat disappointed in their defense this year. However, some key injuries on both sides of the ball have hurts us tremendously. On defense like Jeff Owens our premier DT, Danelle Ellerbee our MLB, and offense Trenton Sturdivant, our best and most experienced OL, Chris Durham WR, and last but definitely not least Brannan Sutherland our tenacious FB. I'm not on here to make excuses for the dawgs but I'm just stating the facts. Going back to last year, the two hottest teams in the country and IMHO the two best were UGA and USC, both at which were very high pre-season picks. As for the SEC being overrated, that's horse shit. Yea the top 5-6 teams aren't as good this year as usual but top to bottom the conference as a whole is still without a doubt the best in the land. Mel Kiper Jr. said it best " The SEC is closest conference to the NFL as their is because every week each team must bring their "A" game or they can easily slip up and lose because the defense from top to bottom is that good! This is a college/NFL expert saying this! And if that's not enough info for you Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso on college gameday both specifically said that the top 3-4 in the Big 12 were better at this time then the top 3-4 in the SEC but from top to bottom this SEC still has the edge. If we judged conferences by their top team then USC would have nothing to worry about but that's not the case. Also, I'm now living in Southern California where my cousin is in school at USC and I've watched many USC games and I do think they're a really good team judging by the games/teams they play but I do think if they played in the SEC or Big 12 they would have more than 1 loss, like other 2 or 3 loss teams LSU, UGA., MIZZ, or OKIE ST. Think about it USC and their defense is going against teams like WSU, WASH, STAN, OREG ST who got trampled by Penn ST who is another overrated team. All I'm saying is SEC is a different style of football than the Pac 10 and Big 12, In the SEC it's all about defense and team speed, ball control, and grinding out to win football games much like alabama does. In the P-10, Big 12 it's finesse style football. It's just different. Graham Harell, Colt McCoy, nor Sam Bradford would be even close to putting up the kind of numbers they're putting up in the Big 12 if they played in the SEC. I'm not saying that these three aren't grat qb's because I think they're all extremely talented but I don't think they would have 70-80% completion percentage against some of the stingy SEC defenses like they do now. Also, as for SEC playing non-conference games, UGA has played Boise St which we annihilated, Colorado which we won, OKIE ST last year which we crushed and Ariz St this year, so we do try to schedule good non-conference opponents. The bottom line is The SEC and the BIG 12 are without a doubt the best conferences in the country, even in somewhat down years.
Most overrated teams, Clemson by far, NC, Ohio St, Penn ST, Auburn, Tenn, Oregon, Oregon St, Utah, BYU, Boise, Mizz, Nebraska, FSU, VT, WVU, UCONN, CINCY, and ND
As a UGA fan I'll be happy finishing 10-2 at then end of the regular season and when it's all said and done we'll be in the top 5 at the end!

Leaning OKIE STATE here, they are more physical and have a three headed monster in their ruuning game. Also, an amazing receiver iin Dez Bryant, he's a beast! not to mention Zach Robinson is a very mobile qb who will be a dual threat to Tex Tech. I just think Tex Tech is not gonna be able to put two physical football games together back to back. BOL everyone!

I' m also leaning BAMA here! BAMA is a very physical football team and will control the clock and stop the run and I just don't see Lee being very productive against that stellar BAMA defense. I totally agree with you CollegeSharp I think the SEC champion and Big 12 Champion will play in the National Championship because everyone around the country remembers the routing that The Big 10 champion Ohio State took from the SEC champion in two consecutive years and I don't think the media or all of the college football world wants to see this happen again for the third time straight. IMO, I see Penn St playing USC in the Rose Bowl and I think BAMA will play the winner of Ok State/Tex Tech in the National Championship because I think Okie St will beat Oklahoma and if they beat Tex Tech then I believe they will win the Big 12, just what I see playing out. GLTA!

And you're right UGA did outgain FLA and again shot themself in the foot time and time again. Also just like the BAMA game the dawgs got a turnover wihich was negated by a stupid penalty as well just like the BAMA game, what a momentum changer. And on top of that our kicker couldn't hit a field goal. Add that to UGA getting a few bad calls against them, (Murphy pulling Asher Alllen's Jersey in order to shoot past him, the spot of the ball when Teabow clearly was short, and when Haden intercepted the ball and took it all the way back, he was pulling and holding AJ Green but no pass interference or defensive holding was called) Add all this together and it was a disaster for the UGA team. Everyone knows FLA got all the breaks and I'm not saying FLA isn't a great football team or wouldn't have won the game. I'm just saying that it would have been much closer had some of the calls went UGA'S way. Now back to this week, I usually don't take GA against a dd spread but I think they'll come out fired up and will rout Kentucky!
GA 34 Kent 13, GLTA!

I'm definitely a true DAWG fan but I also know when it comes to betting you can't let your emotions get too involved and bet with your heart. One thing about UGA is history has shown the dawgs play better as the hunter and not the hunted so we'll see how the game plays out. I'm gonna take UGA ML for a small amount maybe, .5U because I won 2U's tonight with Cincy and the Under so i'll put a small play on the dawgs and just see what happens! GLTA, GO DAWGS!

I'm on the under here as well, the cold weather and a possible display of bad offense is enough to sell me on. GLTA!

Look my bad man, Just chill out I'm not on here to stir up anything I'm just on here to chat a bit and listen and possibly offer some helpful advice of my own because I'm doing pretty well this season. I clicked the wrong quote from where you told LRpisano to not worry about Atlsports guy. I apologize it wasn't intended for you. It was intended for LRpisano who is criticizing the dawgs and their highly respectable coach and I just didn't think it was right of him to say those things about Coach Richt. I only speak up about things that I'm extremely passionate about it just happpens to be Coach Richt and the Georgia football program. Once again I'm sorry it wasn't intended for you, my mistake. Next time I'll be more careful of the quote.GL this weekend! |

Stafford may be a better Pro prospect but in college it is not even close. Tebow has a better completion percentage, y/a, and td/int ratio plus has the ability to run when needed. Tebow has lower total yards because of the field position the special teams gives us and we haven't had to rely on him like last year. AJ better than Harvin is quite possibly the funniest thing I ever read on this site. I don't even feel the need to argue that because even if you are a delusional Dawg fan you cannot be serious. He might be a better pure WR but AJ is no where near the caliber of football player Harvin is. I will say that Moreno is a beast and one of the best in the SEC but you are comparing him to only one of the Gators RBs. We have 3 and if you count Tebow for short yardage situations 4. Florida's rushing offense > Georgia's rushing offense. Just to throw out some interesting stats about Demps his ypc is almost double that of Moreno and the fact he averages over 45+ yards on touchdown runs is quite the stat for a freshman. In other words Florida is simply better in every aspect of the game this year Offense, Defense, and Special teams. Also when was the last time UGA won back to back games against Florida? I honestly can't remember was it in the 80s? UGA won last year so we got at least 3-4 years before we need to worry about the dogs winning against Florida. Remember UGA has won only 3 of the last 18, it is sad it is even still considered a rivalry between the 2 teams. Just some facts for ya. Fla has won more against UGA in the last 20 years but FLA also had the evil genius (Steve Spurrier) for the majority of those wins and now it's a new era. The overrall series is GA 47-37 over FLA so I guess we still have the edge as a whole. |

First of all, I don't know why you're talking smack about Georgia and Mark Richt. And it's obvious you don't have your facts straight. Mark Richt wanted to motivate the team and get them fired up so he told the OFFENSE after they scored then they could celebrate as a team, he didn't expect the WHOLE team to go out there and celebrate. Mark Richt is one of the classiest coaches there is in college football. He's not the type to run the score up on other teams although he has had the chance on numerous occasions but that's not his style. I've came to learn this the hard way unfortunately so now I don't bet on GA against the spread. Another thing is, as of now UGA has played three ranked opponents (Alabama, Vandy, LSU) and FLA has played one (LSU) thus we've had tougher competition so far. In the beginning of the year when we were preseason ranked #1 all the analysts were saying that this schedule was so brutal and by far the toughest in the country. No one expected us to run the table because we all know that's merely impossible in the SEC(toughest conference in the land). That being said our record is still 7-1 with a loss to the #2 RANKED TEAM IN THE COUNTRY in which we played our worst half of the season with many penalties, and blown coverages. Fla on the other hand lost to OLE MISS so you tell me who the tougher opponent was between the two. All i'm saying is you're talking smack about GA and there's no reason for it. Trust me Richt and the DAWGS will be motivated for this game because the Gators are the obstacle that stand in our way to the SEC championship where we are hoping to redeem ourselves against BAMA in route to the National Championship. I think this will be a hard fought heavyweight bout and I'm not exactly sure who will come out on top but I sure hope it's the DAWGS! GLTA |

This is my first post on here but I've been following covers for awhile and have been betting for quite some time now and overrall have done pretty well. Just wanted to join everyone and listen and maybe even give some helpful pointers as well. I'm taking the under as well on the Buf/Ohio game, got it at 50 1/2 and put half a unit on it. Hope it pans out like the other Tues night games this season. I won big this weekend on Bama, PSU, and my dawgs so I figured I'll play the odds and take the under tonight. Also, just curious as to why you're sold on the under on Hou/Mar since Houston always scores high and Mar gave up 51 to Wis and I think Hou offense is just as good if not better. Just wanted to get some opinions...Good Luck
