If we had a better guy batting 2nd.... The Tigers could possibly score..... but no... Don Kelly is our hope..

This right here is WHY YOU DONT BAT DON KELLY 2nd

Just like by using Boesch as the #3 hitter, Leyland is basically saying that he's the best hitter on the team! look around the league at who bats 3rd in the lineup.. Teixeira, Bautista, Braun, Votto, Hamilton, Konerko, A Gonzalez, Beltran, Pujols... All of which are either All-Stars, or HOFers in the making... Boesch is neither, but Cabby is.. |

Don Kelly has 62 at bats in the #2 slot.. He's hitting 266 with 6 walks.... How is that a good idea when you have two 300 hitters batting 7th and 8th... ? Look at today.. Perfect example... Who was on deck when the 3rd out of the 1st inning was recorded ? Cabrera.. You took his bat right out of the first inning.. Completely stupid.. |

That makes no sense... I've played ball for almost 30 years, and you put your best guys at the top of the order so that they get more at bats... Why would anyone want a guy that hits 240 to get more at bats than a guy who hits 310? Over the course of the season, it will make a HUGE difference, especiall a long season like baseball.. |

And lets not forget about batting Cabby 4th all year instead of 3rd where he belongs... NOPE... Boesch hits 3rd... Yeah, he's having a good season, but he IS NOT a #3 hitter ANYWHERE but in a Tiger uniform...

He refuses to bat Peralta or Avila higher than 7th and 8th, when we have absolutely NOBODY to bat 2nd.... Hmmmm Avila, a leftie who has a high batting average, and a good OBP... sounds like a great #2 hitter to me... NOPE... Don Kelly... WTF is Don Kelly???? If it's not Kelly, its someone else like that... Casper Wells.... Danny Worth... or whatever AAA guy he brings up...

As a Tiger fan here in Michigan... I can honestly say that the Tigers are having a good season DESPITE Jim Leyland... That man has either completely lost it, or was just never really that good to begin with.. He has no idea when to pull a pitcher, and his lineups are almost too obsurd to contemplate logically.. |

we'll see... It's possible, but neither one of these pitchers are exactly ripping it up..

Leyland refuses to move Avila and Peralta up in the order when they sit at 7th and 8th, and he has guys like Don Kelly, Casper Wells, or for a while Ryan Raburn batting 2nd... Heck even Cabrera sits in the 4th spot when he should CLEARLY bat 3rd... |

Leyland has NO IDEA when to pull a pitcher, and Scherzer hasn't exactly earned the 9 wins he has... He's been below average at best... |
