NBA Betting > -17 Is The Biggest Cavs Spread All Season > View Post
And it will go higher. All those games Cavs played against like the Nets and Lakers at home, weren't higher than this

This is no doubt the biggest spread in playoff history

Coming in the Eastern Conference Finals

An absolute total disgrace beyond imagination

Hedging out with a -ev play just to reduce variance is a bad bet

Unless you have an unreasonable and uncomfortable about on it, let it ride and get some balls. Odds wise you are better off

MLB Betting > How Much Is A Star Hitter Worth? > View Post
Nah, the line dropped from 175 to 160 in the morning, then around 4:30 PM EST when Braun was out it started to climb all the way up to 214

How much of that was Braun is the question

BarrelledIn
MLB Betting > How Much Is A Star Hitter Worth? > View Post
Like Ryan Braun?

Did the Milwaukee line today really move 40-50 cents because he was out? Seems outrageous Braun would be worth that much, but why else the huge move

Figured 1 star hitter would be worth very little for one game, 5 cents max

That "chip on the shoulder" goes completely out the window once you already had a monster upset last year AND EVERYONE is sucking your dikk picking you. Bettors, (((experts))), media, everyone calling it an easy win. Like you're Kansas against a 16 seed

MTS will not win this game. Once Minnesota wins Thursday, none of you clowns will be here and act like it never happened

The entire CBS march madness crew not only just predicted a MTS win, but a BLOW OUT

"derrrrrrr they beat MSU last year derr derr derrrrrrrrrrrrrr"

A team that has beat ONE SINGLE tournament team the ENTIRE season, against VANDERBILT AT HOME, has all the media and public love

This is absolute comedy

Their two best wins vs FL and AZ were early in the season when those teams were playing their worst ball of the season

Then they cruised against literal nobodies in the WCC

How Kenpom loves Zags and St. Mary's so much is mind blowing.

AZ will beat both of them and win the West

Everyone is taking MTS thinking that's they're sharp mega upset 12 over a 5 so they can impress everyone in the $5 office pool when they are now actually FAVORED fukkingg lmao

And the only reason they think this is because "muh they beat Michigan State last year"

The best team they beat all year was VANDY, when vandy SUCKED

This line should be -7 with Minn healthy. With Springs out -6. He is not worth 8 points He is only their 5th best scorer

Minnesota +1 is the easiest play of the 1st round fading all wannabe sharps betting a complete shhitt line based on 1 upset a year ago

Also, there's 8 hours before game time to change his mind

And this dramatic of a decision change has happened before this season with Cavs at OKC were line shifted 10+ points based on Cavs big three playing

BarrelledIn
NBA Betting > Play Warriors +11 Now? > View Post
Now that Warriors know Leonard, Aldridge, and probably Parker are out tonight, maybe they change their mind to play their starters and get a win

This game is actually important in the standings with Spurs just 1.5 back

If Kerr were smart, he would absolutely play his starters now

Worst case he doesn't and you're just sitting on a regular 50/50 play at +11 with both teams missing best players. Not bad

NBA Betting > NBA Total Inflation - What Happened > View Post
Good insight all

The Dantoni theory/high possession pace used to be a gimmick and now it's evolved and taken over the league

Just amazing to have a 2011-2012 frame of reference about where NBA totals range and then look at where they are today

Despite totals going through the roof, overs league wide are hitting at 52.62%, which is beating -110 through 802 games. Historic and completely unprecedented, if I'm not mistaken.

Typically, you see league wide unders hitting around 51%. Unreal

BarrelledIn
NBA Betting > NBA Total Inflation - What Happened > View Post
Used to follow and bet a lot of NBA totals 5-6 years ago. Then drifted more to focusing exclusively on sides/mls

Back then totals would routinely be in the 180s (East Conf mostly). A game like ATL-CHI would often have a total around 178. A very large and rare total would be in the 220s (Don Nelson with zero defense in Warrior games). Average total would be like 198

Today, it is very rare for a game to be under 200. Average game around 213 it seems. Multiple games a night in the 220s.

Obvious answer is more fouls, more offense, more star players, less defense. The same was still true 5-6 years ago as well. Totals are 15+ points higher today. Crazy to think it's that much different in such a short a mount of time.

Anyone else notice this that has some insight

TV feeds always delayed 5-7 seconds. Books with automated live betting have access to a feed with basically no delay

This is all offshore too. Vegas is mickeymouse compared to offshore. You can't even bet a 1q or team total in Vegas

That's all set by pinnacle, which all books follow. Because under got hit by sharps at pinnacle, doesn't mean the same applies to other books, especially in vegas

In what world does the public bet on the under? The over was a loss at 54-55% on it

Bout 55% on NE ML

65% on NE ATS

Nothing short of a disaster to top off the worst season

BarrelledIn
NFL Betting > Worst Year In Vegas/Sports Book History > View Post
Not even close

Start with this: NE went 16-3 ATS and won their last 8 games ATS in a row.
That's ATS, not SU, for a team where Vegas knows everyone is betting on them, and they were a cash cow every week for every square. Incomprehensible.

Top public plays cashed every single week except 2 or 3

Playoff favorites went 9-2 ATS. The only two dogs that won were bet by the public heavily (GB over Dal and Pitt over KC). Buried again.

Favorites of -6 or more during the season went 51-28 (64.6%). Historically they are 49.1%. Incomprehensible

Now the Super Bowl.
Vegas/books lost on: Pats ATS, Pats ML, Over, Pats TT over, Pats 2H, Pats Live, 2H Over

Anyone saying "the books are fine" is clueless. Sportsbooks are already the least profitable game for casinos. Not only did they not profit this year, they lost a lot of money. Wait for the articles next week on the disaster this whole season was.

Comps are already nonexistent for sports bettors. Next time you go to Vegas, you'll be lucky to get 1 drink ticket for a $5,000 bet
