I highly doubt you will see the rookie year Joba ever again!

He'll be lucky to be the next Todd Van Poppel as a starter or the next Kerry Wood as a closer!

The Yankees are willing to surrender Nova, pitching prospect Zach McAllister, and two prospects for Haren, but they will not eat money and include Chamberlain in a trade, tweets SI.com's Jon Heyman. McAllister's father works in Arizona's scouting department. In a second tweet, Heyman says the Yanks would be willing to pay all of the money left on Haren's deal, but they balked at taking Chad Qualls and Chris Snyder as well.
ESPN's Buster Olney says the Yankees do not value Haren as much as they did Cliff Lee, and they consider him a risk because of his performance this year (Twitter links). Hence their reluctance to take on Haren's entire contract and deal a boatload of prospects.
So it basically...the Yankees don't want to trade Joba. Why wouldn't they include Chamberlain? Guy is a bumb!!!

A source tells Jayson Stark of ESPN.com that the Yankees were "never close" to a deal for Dan Haren on Friday.
The two parties did swap names Friday, according to the source, however the Yankees rejected a proposal that included Joba Chamberlain, 23-year-old right-hander Ivan Nova and two other prospects. The Diamondbacks reportedly rejected a proposal from New York consisting entirely of prospects. Another sticking point between the two teams, according to the source, is how much of the $33 million remaining on Haren's contract the Diamondbacks are willing to assume. We have a hard time believing that one. Regardless, if Stark's report is true, it doesn't appear the Yankees have a leg up on anyone at the moment. Jul. 24 - 12:56 am et Source: ESPN.com

Looks to me Maholm is the better pitcher. Correia pitches in arguably the best pitchers park in baseball and he's compiled a 5.22 ERA?
