I'll set you up so that you are in my seat. A friendly small time home poker game....First a little background info on the guy I called....Tim is a very technical, very sound player, but very influential as most under a few brews. Well, the hand prior to our showdown he got knocked out of our tourney leaving 4 players and costing him an additional $50 for a rebuy of $100 worth of chips. I'm 3rd to act out of 4 players at this point in our hand and he is in 2nd position. I hold Ad and Qc. The first player calls the $20 blind, the 2nd folds, and the action is on Tim....he goes all in for a $80 raise (with his $20 call- thus, all of his chips) and the action is on me.....well, my thinking is that there are only 3 hands that can have me down big time pre-flop, pocket Aces, pocket Kings, or Ace King...add to the fact that anything of a pocket pair and I'm in tight race I figured I'd take a small gamble with my AQ.......He flips over Kh and Js and is rather confused about my call.....needless to say the Ace holds up, pairing on the flop and he gets all woman-like.......Explain this to me!
Me,a known by everyone at the table as a calculated risk-taker sitting after you and you just go all in right after getting a boot and rebuying back into the tourney? Seriously, what do you think the odds are of me calling you with AQ and trying to double up late in the night? And how do you get PO'd losing to A's on the flop after being 62.37% favorite (per CardPlayer.com) and a 97.27% after the flop lands?
Just thought I'd provide the forum with a little table action. Your thoughts? |

Nice one Dave, here's another for ya....
The league is 0-21 ATS when they are off a 7+ point home win when they had more 1st downs and twice as many offensive yards in their previous game. In week 7 the Raiders had 21 first downs with 395 total yards, while last week they only had 9 first downs and 98 total yards Play against Oakland and on Seattle -7
Note: The weather is supposed to be a bitch tonight, so I haven't pulled the trigger yet. |

NFC +9.5 and +300
Let's line up the AFC possible teams
Indy- So far a weak schedule, final got rid of the NE bug
Pittsburgh- A tough team- I would love to see Pitt vs Car
Cincinnati- haven't been to the playoffs since when?
Denver- still haven't gotten over the hump in the playoffs
New England-not counting them out yet-will win div
NFC possible teams
Atlanta- run, run, and more run- decent defense
Carolina- been to the big dance before- would be a dangerous team
Seattle- not sold on this team yet
Chicago- can't see them getting that far with no O
Dallas-Parcells knows what it takes to get there
Washington-Gibbs in the same boat as Parcells
NY Giants- 2nd Eli not mature enough to put them over the top-maybe next year
Now you should ask yourself if any of those AFC teams should be favored by 9.5 over the NFC teams I listed. Something to think about once that puppy hits 10......We need more domination from Indy and Pitt to raise that line. Some good value on the ML too........The two NFC teams I wouldn't feel good about would be Chicago ad Seattle as far as my value in the ML.....My favorite NFC teams for the outright win are Carolina, Dallas, or Washington winning the Bowl over any of the AFC teams listed
Just something to think about.....any opinions or comments?

I'm from STL and even though I wanted him to get it, I was afraid the popularity of Dontrelle was going to take over. Good Call||an_cheers.gif' border=0>
