Went to highschool with Leighton. It has taken him some time to adjust to the NHL, but he's ready to make a huge impact. WATCH OUT!

The retard who plays 'cash man' for Oliver Jewelry is fucking brutal. I'm pretty tolerant of commercials, but can't stand this douchebag. |

That rule won't apply in week 1. They also remove the rule on weeks where there aren't many games (ex - around the allstar break).
Don't drop Hillier.

Well there you have it...they officially signed Comrie to a one-year deal. I imagine he'll be playing alongside Hemsky and Horcoff.
I am interested to see how the Oil faithful treats him in his first game back. I don't expect much from him this year but am glad he is righting his wrong.

So after the Heatley debacle and his apparent distaste towards Edmonton, the Oilers are left with a huge hole on LW on their top line. Penner was supposed to be the saviour to step into that position but he'll be lucky to be playing on the third line this year.
Has anyone heard any rumours about who they are going to put into this spot?

My fantasy team names this year have been:
Football - Romosexual Tendencies
Baseball - Debbie Does Odalis & Explosive Renteria
Hockey - 2 Sedins, 1 Cup

I'll be there. My buddy working for rogers hooked me up with free tickets. If you are downtown early, a few players from the 93 team will be signing autos in the TD Courtyard.

What I was getting at is that he has been in a slump for a long time and I think that ends this year. It would be tough for him to put up the numbers he did in his 95-96 campaign, but I think that he'll be one of the most improved players this season. |

I'm going to give posting my picks a shot. I haven't really been that active in making posts, but want to try my luck.
New York Islanders vs. New Jersey Devils
A heated rivalry will see both these teams come out hitting. It is quite clear who the better team is and who made the better off-season acquisitions. Brodeur is in better shape than last year and the devils will take this one easily. I'm thinking a 5-1 or 5-2 score.
Pick: Devils -1.5 (+151)
Montreal Canadiens vs. Buffalo Sabres
Both of these teams are icing squads that are stronger than last years. The Canadiens have a clear powerplay edge and putting Tanguay on the point with Markov will increase puck movement (if that's even possible) when up a man. Buffalo has a number of young stars, but just don't have the depth the Canadiens have.
Pick: Canadiens ML (-106)
Nashville Predators vs. St. Louis Blues
I really like the Blues team this year and think Boyes will have another unbelievable campaign. The addition of MacDonald will provide additional help on the top line and I really see Kariya having a break-out season. Nashville on the other hand is a decimated squad with ownership issues. The loss of Radulov will be huge and they don't have anyone who can fill his shoes. This will be a woeful year for the Preds.
Pick: Blues ML (-115)
Best of luck to everyone this year.

I would definitely drop prospal.
Hemsky is my current favourite player in the league so I'm a little biased there. And I think Vanek will have a bounce back year and Sedin will likely lead the nucks in scoring.
On a side note, Carcillo is an amazing fantasy player. I got to watch the kid quite a bit when he played for the Sarnia Sting where his offensive skills were fantastic. I love seeing guys that can score and kick someone's ass!
