Yea obviously this is not true... or even close to being true!

The problem with being a line-reader who can't cap a football game, is that you make guesses about what the line should be...
I can tell you, if you break down every single thing both teams have done all year, the correct pointspread (UNBIASED) on this game is... Car (-1) And according to you, that is begging for SF money... but since you don't have the first friggin clue what the line SHOULD BE in the first place... your theory is completely off the wall! This line isn't begging for jackshit... it's where it should be... EXACTLY where it should be! Couldn't possibly be a more perfect line on this game!

Covers... where you don't need to cap the games, you just gotta outsmart Vegas...
How's that working out for you! SF wins! You lose!

I have Seattle (-7.5)... don't think it's a great bet, though... I think both games could go either way with the spread, and outside shot of an upset in both games...

I'd let it ride, but that's me... right now the Colts would be +1400 to win the AFC, if you bet them progressively on the ML against the Pats and then the Broncos... don't exactly see where you would have any value trying to hedge at this point... ?
If they beat the Pats, and especially if the Broncos lose, then you might consider taking a chunk out of it... but not before then...

I agree with your take, TH23787... maybe i'll be wrong and you guys will win! I like the Panthers, but I think the 49ers are playing better than anyone in the league, and it's hard to see them losing this week...
The key, in my opinion, is the balance of the SF offense! Weapons everywhere, including CK who can also run... it's just unfair! Even Seattle is gonna have their hands full, if those two teams meet up next week... Should be a great game this week, though!

I have the same 4 plays this week... I think all of those teams also win straight up, except for the Chargers, who will lose by 3 or 4...

I have a theory that Footlocker got his love of football from his parents at a very early age... his mom who fumbled him constantly and his dad who spiked him in the backyard!

Man, if the Patriots played the 49ers or Seattle I would instantly lay a double-sized bet on either NFC team laying more than a Touchdown! You are out of your mind if you think the Pats could beat either of those teams on a neutral field...
However, it's not an issue, because they won't be getting anywhere near New York... probably not getting out of this weekend! If Denver is playing in the Super Bowl, they would most likely be a slight favorite or very slight dog to either of those teams, and a favorite to anyone else... so you need to definitely hope for Denver to make it in order to have any real value on that bet... NFC has 4 teams that are better than all but 1 team in the AFC!

One final note:
If you used S.O.S. and nothing else to cap every single BCS national championship game... you would have been 12-5 ATS (11-6 SU)! Without even looking at a single other factor...

Because people discounted their Strength of Schedule! On a side note: I believe if these two teams played 10 times FSU would be lucky to win 3 of them, even if we already count last night's win as 1 in the bag! The breaks FSU got to win that game were pretty outrageous: 1) Dropped wide open TD pass on Auburn's first drive 2) Holding call stops Auburn's first drive of the 2nd half inside the 15 3) Holding call stops Auburn's drive in the 4th quarter and forces them to take a FG instead of a TD 4) The kickoff return for a TD in which #3 for Auburn fell down with a cramp right in front of the returner!!! One of the most ridiculously flukey plays I have ever seen in 30 years of watching NFL or college football! 5) PI call in the endzone that shouldn't have been called... feet got tangled and the ref thought the WR falling down was due to PI... in the Super Bowl last year a MUCH MUCH more obvious PI was NOT called in the endzone, and it is generally understood that refs only make those calls when it is beyond a shadow of a doubt! Why was that flag thrown? Because it saved Vegas MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of dollars they would have had to pay out on Auburn ML tickets! No way in hell any ref throws that flag unless they are motivated to do so! Without that flag... even after all of the other breaks FSU got... they would have lost the game! So... yes, S.O.S. was the key to seeing that Auburn is the better football team here, and laying 10 points was beyond IDIOTIC! It's nice your team won, but to answer your question in very DECISIVE fashion! S.O.S. is critically important when capping the national championship game, and far more times than not, it will show you who is going to win the game... This game was an anomaly, and that happens... but Auburn is the better football team, and I would bet them at a pick'em next week if they played again... and you should to!

The fact that Kobez and Inthetank don't agree with your play... is only good news for the 49ers!

Simple as this:
FSU WAS CLEARLY OVER-RATED (Why? Because they built up a bullshit 12-0 record against a bullshit schedule) AUBURN WAS CLEARLY UNDER-RATED (Why? Because they didn't blow out teams all year, and lost a game against one of the most brutal schedules in football) Conclusion: S.O.S. is the key to have understood these two facts before the game started! IF you had taken S.O.S. into consideration... YOU WOULDN'T HAVE LAID DOUBLE DIGITS IN WHAT WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST SUCKER BETS IN FOOTBALL HISTORY!

If it didn't matter... then why is the team with the better S.O.S. now 12-5 ATS in BCS national championship games? Why is it that the following teams (Benglas, Chiefs, Packers, Eagles, Seminoles) all lost (or should have lost in the case of FSU, but never came close to covering the spread)? Everyone of those teams had a weaker S.O.S. than their opponents! You gotta be a really friggin dense person to not know that S.O.S. is VERY VERY important when capping end of year football games (Bowl games or playoffs)! THAT IS YOUR ANSWER! ALL OTHER ANSWERS ARE INCORRECT!

FSU got two miraculous plays to just barely win that game... the kickoff return in particular was literally one of the luckiest plays any football team has ever been granted... to have #3 fall down right in front of the returner, and open up a huge hole for him... That was like God's hand coming out of the sky to give FSU a favor... If this game was played again next week, it would be a pick'em, and any person with half a brain would be on Auburn... AMAZINGLY, there would still be fools like you who would bet Florida St!
