Anyone ever have to go through that bs?  I had a transaction flagged for "consumer protection".  Wouldn't release the funds.  That is why I play with locals for the most part...

Yeah, I should have done 2 smaller ones I guess.  1500.  The first time I went, got the control number, called it in, the book said that they couldn't pick up the funds.  I looked at the spelling and they actually transposed 2 letters.  I figured that was the problem, so I called WU to correct it.
The person I spoke to transferred me to the consumer protection department and that guy actually advised for me to have it refunded, and send it again so that I didn't have to go through the questions.
Well, I did that and they called me to ask a million questions anyway.

Idk if my experience is the same but I had deposited using M.G. And my funds couldn't be released so I called them, and they said the name I had used on the books end was under investigation for fraud because it had been used too often. Ended up I had to get refunded and a new name from the book. No questions were really asked just that I should be aware people are not trust worthy and always know where you're sending the money. My amount I was depositing was only 3 figs

Similar red flags I'm sure.  Very possible the receivers name caused the red flag.  I was asked how I knew them.  When was the last time i saw them face to face, blah, blah, blah...

Care to elaborate?  I rarely have a use for WU.  Always use a couple locals, but would love to hear your thoughts as opposed to being an a s s.

Moneygram isn't a good option anymore. They got a new compliance guy late last year and he hates gambling just as much as that camel jockey US attorney from New york City. If you try to send fifty dollars to someone, they want to know where you got it and why you're sending it. Stay away.

Western Union is still a good option for sending and receiving. Keep everything under $1000 and you'll be fine. Watch the spelling very closely when you send. If it's even one letter off, the sportsbook won't be able to pick it up.
