I was 5.5 hours in to a tournament with 35 players left and I was in 9th and all of a sudden I get kicked out. It's a 50k guarantee with 1st place getting 15k.  I had to uninstall the software b/c it said the agent (5dimes doesn't support 3D poker)  This is after 5.5 hours of playing mind you.  I could also observe the table without logging in but once I logged in I was immediately booted out.  Now I tried to reinstall BUT 5dimes is doing FUC%ing system upgrades so I can't get on their website to re-download.  Customer service says we're sending the poker host an email and should hopefully hear back in an hour. - Some one will have won the money by then.  Top 8 spots got paid much more than the $500 that top 35 got.  I'm ROYALLY pissed!!

To make matters worse - I just got off the phone and they had NO record of my call.  I explained it again and they said they will have some information for me in a day or two.  I finished 18 without playing another hand and won $500 but top 8 started at $1,000 +.

5dimes finally escalated my issue and acknowledged that their was an issue with their schedulded maintenance and the issue with the poker client. Waiting on a resolution.

Sorry to hear that, Jelax....

But your main problem isn't 5Dimes, it's playing online poker.

I just can't understand why somebody would put money out there hoping they can out-bluff the guy across the table.

Rommel - customer service manager called me back and told me they're still working on it yesterday and didn't hear anything after that and he's not in today so I have to contact them again tomorrow.  Been trying to resolve since the 15th.

Jelax -

Just want you to know that I'm not coming at you or anyone else who plays poker.  My apparent misunderstanding of the concepts/ins & outs of the game have led me to believe that it just doesn't seem like a good (or even decent) way to make money.

I will say though, that I won't read a book about poker - just don't have the interest in it.

The poker linked to 5dimes isn't even their software to my understanding.  So whatever poker issues you are having 5dimes has to work it out with another company to get the situation resolved.  To sum this up....you're probably screwed.

That would be accurate as with most sportsbooks who also have poker.  My concern is that I believe the issue was caused by 5dimes doing maintenance which in turn caused their site to be down which also affected the poker client.  WIthout logging in I could watch my tourney but once I logged in it immediately said to contact my poker host (5dimes) and booted me out.  5dimes could do nothing as they were doing upgrades/maintenance so I was just screwed.  Couldn't even get to their site to try and uninstall/reinstall the poker software b/c they were down.  We'll see what happens. Nevertheless this will be my first and last tournament with 5dimes.  Matter of fact it'll be the last time I play poker there period.

No one wins at poker but the HOUSE. The ante's are too much to overcome even by the very best players.

I have no reason to doubt your "online casino" beefs... but its reason 12,849 why to NOT play in ANY online casino.  The servers are simply going to do what they are programmed to do - make you lose.

Play real cards, no cheating.

5dimes compensated me for their mistake.  While it was minor compensation I appreciate the way they handled the situation other than the timeframe.
