I don't follow U.S. politics much but every time i do catch a glimpse of the election build up, Hillary and him are the two that seem to be doing well or well-ish, Rubio is an interesting candidate but no way can a Latin president be elected right after a Black one so that's him out of the running, Which leaves Jeb Bush as the only other threat.
If the race is a two way dog fight between Trump and Hillary, Hillary is at -150 and Trump at +500, I think Trump presents some value here plus he seems to be riling up the nut job's and getting them on side, and there's a lot of nut jobs in America so that should count for something.

It was the same type of American nut jobs that in 1775 during the battles of Lexington and Concord,,, killed 73 British soldiers and wounded 174 with 26 missing that sent you Limey's scurrying back to Boston...
..and it was the same type of American nut jobs,,, that Lord Percy, who led the British back into Boston after the defeat suffered at Concord, wrote back to London to say, "Whoever looks upon them [nut jobs] as an irregular mob will be much mistaken."

It should really be lower odds than +500. The RNC and advisors have known for a while that Trump's chances in a general election are really not that good based on a variety of factors. I didn't expect to see that extend to Republicans attacking him vociferously now but it appears that they came to the conclusion he's not going to fade.
It was estimated by Republicans before this election cycle that they would need to garner at least 40% of the Hispanic vote to have a chance in the general election. I'll bet any amount of money that Trump can't come remotely close to that figure and I don't see him getting enough moderates and independents either.
Honestly, what I find fascinating is that nobody is bashing Trump's tax plan that will add 10 trillion to the debt over a decade to spend more on the military and a giant wall while Sanders' plan would focus on infrastructure by repairing roads and offering better basic rights to Americans. If I'm going to choose between either candidate whose plan will increase debt, I'm going to side with the one whose policies are more likely to have a direct impact on improving the quality of life for the average person.
