Below is an excerpt form Urban Meyer's comments on fairness to the college football players. And I believe, on life in general !
Ohio State and Oregon both have athletic budgets in excess of $100 million. The NCAA had 2014 revenue of over three-quarters of a billion dollars. The respective conferences for the teams have TV networks with billions of dollars in aggregate revenue streams under contract. There will be administrators from all the above and advertisers traveling to the national championship game, many of whom will not even know the names of many of the players that provided them the opportunity. But they will have luxury suites, lavish food, pricy hotels, limos, and other tall cotton accommodations.

NO, the political part is this belongs on this forum. But the point is the greed at the top, and will continue if the right wing gets total control. Meyers gets it, as does Pope Francis.

Can you be a little specific? Are you for the players getting paid?
If you had bothered to read the whole thing, you would know that Meyers wants the players to be treated much better and their families treated to tickets.
Rather than the fat cats getting bigger sky boxes, and the players playing more and more games , busting their ases. for the same thing, an education. Which they don't really get anyway.
The system at the top is getting greedier and greedier. And you ignorant middle class repulsicans are voting for them because Hannity and Rush have you conned with the gun rights platform .

If, Meyers is so concerned about the family of the players getting tickets to the game he should foot the bill....he's a 1%er .
Urban Meyer received a nearly $330,000 pay raise,in Janurary ..The increase moved Meyer's basic annual compensation from the school to nearly $4.5 million ..and he as a net worth of $18 million..

Don I tend to stay out of your threads simply because of your extremism and your refusal to have a knowledgeable conversation with people. However since you brought this up and I have direct experience with it I feel inclined to throw in. In the mid 90's I received a scholarship to a D1 school. It paid for my entire college and allowed me at someone else s expense the opportunity to prepare myself to do what ever I wanted in the likely chance that I didn't get drafted. In those 4 years I met many rich donors and administrators while at the same time getting a top notch education and future opportunities provided by some other source. While in school I got perks other students never got. I also got the acknowledgement of being an athlete and other things that went with it. When I graduated I walked away and capitalized on the opportunity I was given. It's no different than being a wise investor. Any 5 star athlete who feels like they are getting a raw deal is free to turn down their offer and do it the regular way.

Congratulations Potter 36. I wish more athletes would use their scholarship just like you did. It is a fantastic way for many athletes to use their talent to get ahead. Especially if they come from poor circumstances. Thousands upon thousands of athletes have been given the opportunity over the years to obtain a degree by trading their athletic talent for a college degree. A very large number of them coming from poor families. Leave it to a far far far left liberal to complain about this. Title IX anyone?
It is so obvious that Don has graduated from the University of MSNBC. The absolutely most worthless degree a person could obtain. By obtaining the degree a person actually loses IQ points and is rendered unable to absorb any facts.
I know Don will be unable to comprehend this but all a person has to do is google "rich getting richer under Obama" and you will see the facts are not only there but they are getting richer at a faster rate.

BLUE, BLUE, BLUE, and MORE BLUE. Barely any red in there. And your precious Koch Brothers than the Libtards bang on about non-stop are merely a blip in that list.
Liberals created the BIG LIE strategy and continue to use it today.

Your right about one thing. The greed is at the top and Obama is in control. Your limited mental capacity will not allow you to understand that. No one even needs Faux News to figure it out. The facts are very plentiful.

Since this thread is about football & politics ,,did anyone else see Chris Christie up there with Jerry Jones in his VIP Box ?
Indeed , we saw Krispy Kreme hugging Ben and Jerry, two weeks in a row ! Wearing his red sweater, saying, I'm here too ! Look at me ! Texas needs to love me ! I need your vote !

Sara, we shall see, When it's all said and done Crist will have a much larger percentage of votes. Krispy Kreme will never become president. Not even VP, who would pick that fat lying clown to run with them ?
