as an example, politicians are expensive, more than we could afford, but clearly well worth the investment. but keep focusing on voter ID issues. that's right where they want you to be looking.
perhaps this speaks to the theory we were talking about on the foxnews disease thread...
For the foxnews disease formula to work you need one guy who wears the t-shirt with the hateful racist rhetoric and make a big deal about it and the other would be the guy who makes and sells the t-shirts knowing the lemmings will eat it up like mindless sheep...
So there are the people that think voter ID is a huge issue because it is the talking point prescribed to them to passionately freak out about...
and then there is the people who prescribe that as a talking point as a way of diverting the energy and attention from where it matters... As you have shown in your link...
I guess it takes both sides for the foxnews disease formula to work...
but in this case it is that the voter ID seems to be directly at trying to win the elections because of the fear of losing... If they thought their side was correct and their answers and solutions are feasible and logical they would simply run the best campaign and win easily... but perhaps the voter ID is simply waving the white flag knowing that the only way to win is focus the attention on manipulating the votes because they concede that they lack ideas and solutions and the voters know this...
So perhaps it takes all types to make this voter ID quest work...

I have been debating/arguing politics for years. Whether in person or over the internet. In that time I have never met a more paranoid and crazy person as you. You are convinced that I am all these people and I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. You have got to be the weirdest person on this forum. Don't you notice you are the only one on here believing and talking about "aliases".
You keep saying myself and anyone who you don't agree with is mad, unraveling, losing it etc...... I personally am not mad/upset about anything. Once again I have no idea what you are talking about.
You whine and complain every time someone questions your non-partisan independent moniker you have attached to yourself. If you actually looked at a couple hundred of your posts with an unbiased mind you would see why people question that moniker you have attached to yourself. There is no question whatsoever you debate/argue differently with liberals as you do conservatives.
You are the first non-partisan independent I have ever met that hates republicans the way you describe. I have known liberals that have more tolerance. You have never displayed the same vitriol for democrats as you have republicans.
You need help and I hope you get it. I am guessing mommy didn't hug you enough when you were a child. Also, from the way you handle things here my guess is that you were bullied as a kid in school. You have something to prove and this forum is where you have chosen to do that.
Hang in there big guy. I promise to check into this alias problem for you.

looks like bowslit is still sore about embarrassing himself on the other thread?
either that or he figured out where he fits in the foxnews disease formula...
funny how he needs the validation of other posters to say anything... funnier even when he tries to engage in a discussion with out hiding behind others...

dl36 is right that gaining political advantage in elections is a reason for partisan voter ID laws to restrict voters. Most vulnerable are young, poor, disabled and minority voters who don't deserve discrimination.
Non-partisan organizations such as Government Accountability Office (Congress watchdog) have debunked claims of widespread voter fraud the basis for voter ID laws. According to Voting Rights Institute, hundreds of millions of taxpayer money is wasted to disenfranchise voters.

its always interesting how there are those historically who have sought to be inclusive of americans voting and those that have fought long and hard to stop americans from voting...

Under the constitution, eligible voters must be allowed to vote.. Photo ID voting laws are controversial by violating laws against hidden tax on voting and reducing turnout of eligible voters. Since voter fraud is so rare according to Justice department, restrictive laws have potential to suppress millions of eligible voters.
There is absolutely no reason in this day and age that an Id shouldn't be provided and required. Every legal person in this country should be allowed to vote just as every legal voter should be able to identify themselves. I fail to see how in any way there is a hidden tax? With all the waste and ridiculously funded obscure programs, there's no reason an I'd couldn't be provided if somehow someone couldn't afford it. And there is no way to know how rare voter fraud is without better oversight. A simple case is the woman in Cincinnati who admitted she voted for Obama 6 times. The only reason she was caught is she was too stupid to Keep her mouth shut.
