Matt Ryan has been good to me this year but I am considering starting Romo this week.

Dallas needs the win more than Atlanta and if ATL gets up they may sit Ryan or just run the ball.

My opponent also has Julio Jones.

There is a chance that DAL and NO could be a shootout and Romo could put up big points.

What are your thoughts?

Atlanta has been a bit Jekyll and Hyde as of late. With a high consensus on that game and Suh and Fairley's inconsistent ability to rush the passer, I would be concerned.

Dallas tends to run the ball out of necessity to slow the pass rush. If New Orleans really wants to, they can get to the QB.

New Orlean's defense is so weak against the run and the pass though, Dallas should be able to find some balance.

That's kind of a fishy line for a team playing at home, with the better record, and something to play for though. Romo tends to rack up more points when he's playing from behind and abandoning the run.

I would go ahead and start Romo in this instance. Detroit actually isn't that bad of a defense against the pass.

I don't think Romo and the Boys can afford to relax and run the ball. I think Romo will be good for 300+ and at least 2 TDS. With this game potentially being a shootout. I am also starting Romo in my Championship league.

Relax and run the ball? Who ever said that. The Cowboys will need to run the ball to find balance. Dallas has a terrible O-Line and if you can't run the ball and become pass only, you turn into San Diego and turn your QB into a sitting duck.

A big reason why Dallas has been coming on as of late is because of Demarco Murray. I consider that to be a good thing. Being able to sustain drives leads to more scoring, even if there may be a rushing TD or two.

Matty Ice will be running the ball a lot too. Especially with Roddy White ailing with his injury, I'm pretty sure they would want to wisely rest him for the post season. At this point, they may want to start Redman and give him some snaps in case Matty Ice goes down and he can step in.

What I mean about relaxing is that they are in desperation / urgency mode. So he will be airing it out more and to run the ball against New Orleans proves that their offense is scared. If Dallas wants to win, they will through the air - not ground.

Romo 345 yards, 3 Tds = 35 fantasy pts
