Tampa Bay made Ryan Demptser look like a stud, but the fact is he is just about three feet north of garbage (which is why the Cubs got rid of him).  Boston has put in its work, locked up its post season position and we are starting to see John Farrell sporadically give his starters a little rest.

Baltimore is fighting for the second wildcard spot and I think Buck Showalter will pull out all the stops over their remaining 13 games AND pilot his squad to a post season birth.  With that said, put me down for Baltimore ML (+114) AND Over the Total for a Nickel a piece please.  Thanks!

While his counterpart has not struggled to go deep into games, Dempster has completed seven innings only once since June 14. The 36-year-old offset five walks by striking out seven in Wednesday’s 7-3 win at Tampa, allowing a run on four hits to improve to 3-1 since the All-Star break despite a 5.68 ERA. Dempster’s first victory over that nine-start stretch came against Feldman and the Orioles, against whom he is 2-1 with a 2.01 ERA – his lowest mark against any AL opponent.

BOS -1.5

So what I think I'm to understand is Boston has little motivation and the O's have much. The O's should play harder and need the victory more but will Boston lie down?
