#7 Posted: 3/30/2011 5:39:20 PM Over the last 12 years (that's all I have data for), the NYY win .594 vs DET.
However, a wager on DET pays an EV of +1.8%. A wager on NYY loses, on average, almost 7% (an EV of -0.69).
If you limit the data to just the first 20 or even 30 games of the season, the numbers tilt even more in favor of DET, but then again, the sample size gets much smaller, therefore more variance.

Dragon while your avatar is very nice, you post doesn't make any sense. You can't just look EV's here, its all based off of match ups and odds for each. While statstics do play a part, if it was that easy we wouldn't be on here posting would we?
Anyway GL on your picks and the season.....BTW I like the Yanks here at home with a much lighter CC. Good value at -150 for the home team on opening day. |

This will be the last time you see CC Sabathia at a price of under -150 , so jump on it now !!!!!!!!!
I promise you that you will not see Sabathia lower than -200 for the rest of the season !!!!!
YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont care who he pitches against !!!! I'm not being bias because I'm a JAYS fan !!!!!! |
