In recent years Toronto has had success vs the Habs in opening nights. However, this year I believe the Habs will win this tilt.

Toronto's defense despite the off season, advanced stats rhetoric is essentially the same D that was mainly responsible for the Leafs collapse last year. The two additions are not difference makers. Robidas is old in the tooth, and is coming off major injury (broken leg) and while Roman Polak will get his shot blocks is not fleet of foot, and that plays directly into the Habs strength which is speed.

Habs on the ML is a virtual lock imo.

SportPredictor - why are you following stats on a season opener?  This is a new year...your predictions look decent but I personally take home crowd for season opener into consideration.

Toronto, Boston, Vancouver and SJ parlay....good luck!

Have the Canadiens announced a new captain for their team yet?
I see Toronto with the better offense in this matchup, not saying that their defense is solid or anything like that. Should be a high scoring affair and I expect Bernier to build off his performance from last season considering his numbers he had last season with the lousy defense the Maple Leafs played last season is quiet an accomplishment.

Toronto and the Over. GLTA.

With Robidas n Pilon Phaneuf, how can u go wrong?
Habs should be able to do figure 8's around these 2 pilons. Chubby cheeks Kessel is hurting already, n Bozak as well. I hope PK passes enough gas to knock out Bernier on his arse, lmao!!

This should go over 5 n maybe even a shootout?

Habs 4-3
