I think Seattle is due for a loss, should have lost last week. back to back road games... their luck will run out. Andrew Luck is far more competent than Matt Schnob.

Luck goes 2-0 against the NFC West. gonna roll with the home dawg

I like the Under 43.5.

Hawks do not travel well and will not score much and I think the Hawks D keeps the Colts out of the end zone too. Points should be at a premium.

People get serious! This is a Colts team that has played two games at home:

-squeaked out a home win in the 4th quarter against the bottom feeding Oakland Raiders 24-17

-and lost to an over-rated Miami Dolphins 24-20

Seahawks won against the 2nd best defense in the league while missing 3/5th of their offensive line. They had a rookie playing his first game and 2 replacement scrubs going against JJ Watt and maybe the best defensive line in the NFL. Wilson was scrambling like crazy back there, barely a second to think and they still managed to walk away with the win.

Things will be much different this week in Indianapolis. If Luck couldn't beat the Dolphins with their soft corners -- how do you think he's going to do against the likes of Sherman, Browner and the LOB!

After playing 2 very tough opponents, and now starting on its second road game against a very tough Colts team, I could  seriously see a little road fatigue and a letdown loss in store for the Seahawks. No team (including the Patriots) are capable of having their "foot on the gas" all the time. Couple that with the fact that the Colts are 5-0 in the last 8 years against the NFC West. And that includes a 27-10 beatdown in Frisco last season!

Okay, I had to look into this more...

2013 Chickens

4-0 ATS 2-0 Home 2-0 Away

PAT - The two away ATS wins this year were a possible push for some and on a comeback victory that took a lucky play and overtime -- while the over was a 2 point cover vs lowly panthers.

2012 Chickens

11-5 ATS 7-1 Home 4-4 Away

PAT - The 4 ATS losses on the road were also SU loses...

Overtime - With SEA on back to back road games vs a very capable and improving Colts team this is looking like the play of the year at +3... If they do win and cover, just keep doubling down on each of their road games this year as they are bound to at least not cover...

always love your writeups but to suggest "play of yr" on team #2 in everyones power rankings is ridiculous...

You're riding your "play of the year" on the Colts against an elite team and maybe the number 1 defense in all of the NFL?

Making a play on the same Colts that barely won against Oakland playing at home? The same Colts that lost to the Miami Dolphins at home? That is your play of the year? Wow.

Wilson will always find a way to win...and the #1 DEFENSE in the league is there to back him up - on the road or not.  Those of you with your pipe dreams of Indy having a shot here can pack that in your bowl and smoke it.

-1 is a joke.

SEATTLE rolls Indy.

Wilson will always find a way to win as long as the opposing team makes costly mistakes like pick6s and unnecessary roughness penalties. They are an elite home team, but a so-so road team. I can't remember them ever winning 2 straight road games, but then again, they didn't really win last week. Houston dominated them, but rolled over in the 4th and OT.  The Colts are a vastly improved team from just a couple weeks ago when they lost at home to the fish. They have found a way to run the ball, dominate time of possession and keep their defense off the field which allows them to play much more efficiently. Houston struggled through 3 weeks against SD, Tenn and Balt but still dominated Seattle all but the final half a quarter plus OT. I was all over Balt week 3 as a home dog against the struggling Texans. And I jumped on the Texans last week early @ +3  vs a Jeckyl/Hyde road/home team, but settled for a push.

You realize the only reason they "dominated" was Seattle missing 3/5ths of their offensive line? They had a rookie starting his first game and two replacement scrubs.

Wilson was getting pulverized, he still managed to make magic and run down drives when they mattered. Did you actually watch the game?

I love both of these teams and I expect them both to win their respective divisions this year. But I really like the Colts to come out on top this Sunday.

The Seahawks dodged a bullet last week, and I lost money fading them. Everyone probably saw the gift pick-6 from Schaub, when all the Texans had to do was kick a fg to put the game on ice. Well, Seattle ended up pulling off the unprobable 4th quarter comeback and overtime win - kudos to them. Now the Seahawks will travel across the country again where they will have to deal with a Colts team that just had a cakewalk against the Jags.

When we take a look at Seattle's schedule, it makes perfect sense for them to drop this back-to-back non divisional road game. First, let's look who Seattle will be playing in the coming weeks:

Week 6: hosting the Titans (gimme)
Week 7: @ Arizona (gimme)
Week 8: @ St Louis (gimme)
Week 9: hosting Tampa Bay (gimme)
Week 10: @ Atlanta

Shall we expect Seattle to go 9-0 heading into their week 10 showdown with the Falcons? Or is it more reasonable to believe that they will be 8-1?

If this were last years Colts, I would say stay away. Luck is too careless with the ball and Seattle's legion of boom will have a field day. This year's Luck looks a lot more discipline and seems to have a better grasp of the offense. I am going to ride the Colts again this week.

Good Luck degenerates

People keep saying "Seahawks aren't a good road team.." I agree they definitely had problems before and still are much better at home but let's look at the last 6 home games:

"5-1 in their last 6 road games, including a road playoff win. 30 seconds from 6-0 (falcons in the playoffs). Against the Texans last week, they found a way to beat a quality opponent on the road with 60% of our starting offensive line out."

I would say that's the sign of a "good" road team!

It is going to be louder than a mofo inside that Indy Dome and Wilson will have some adapting to do, but this is what he LOVES.

Now add a dash of the Luck factor (sloppy passing/routes) vs. the "the leagues" #1 DEFENSE and you have yourselves a two score victory for SEATTLE.

Eastern Time Zone teams as Home Dog(Colts) vs a West Coast team(Seahawks) on the 2nd of back2back Road Games are 16-4-1 ATS last 10 years.

Colts are 15-3 ATS at Home off back2back Road Games(week 3 @ 49ers, week 4 @ Jaguars) last 10 years.

Andrew Luck is 4-0 ATS as a Home Dog.
