Miami's back at home, after a victorious 2-0 road start. Eager fans anxiously and desperately awaiting the home opener so they can cheer their beloved Dolphins onto another victory and remain undefeated for the season. But, it is the Dolphins, so they'll probably lose - and lose hard.....

just looking ahead, 4 out of the next 5 for the 'Fins are:

Atlanta, New Orleans, Baltimore, and New England

it's gonna be a tough month, but if they can come out of it at .500 or better, the playoffs may be an actuality - we'll see.....

but for now.....

Falcons in the pick 'em - I don't think the 'Fins offense has enough gas to match score for score with the Falcons.

Good Luck All!!!!

71% of the public picking Atlanta and the line still moves from -1 to -2.5 (partially due to Steven Jackson ruled out) perfect spot to pick the dolphins.

How do you replace someone like Bierman? How does this offense work without a FB? How about not having your stud RB? Roddy White will not be 100% if he does play; other missing links of D? I am a huge Falcon fan, but I think Ryan will have to play the game of his life for them to win sunday.

True test for the Dolphins this weekend. Mike Wallace came alive last weekend and there was a glimmer of hope in the run game.

Although the Dolphins defense have played solid they are still giving up some big plays. They cannot give up big plays when they come up against Julio Jones, Roddy White, and Tony Gonzalez. If they do it will be a long day for the Dolphins fans.

Miami's weakness on defense = covering Tight Ends and Tony Gonzalez might have a field day in this game.

The Dolphins big run stuffer Paul Solai might be out for this one as well. Randy Starks will probably play in his place which is not too much of a bad thing.

Dolphins CB Brent Grimes was once a Falcon so I'm hoping he gives the Dolphins some type of advantage playing against his old teammates.

I can't say much about the Dolphins offense as they are hit and miss. The pass protection needs to get better and the run game needs to as well.

The Falcons are somewhat banged up so I'm hoping the Dolphins are playing them just at the right time in hopes of a Dolphins victory.

The Dolphins used to be known as better road team than a home team but last season Tannehill went 5-3 at home, so there is some hope.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!

I think Bigdaddyhpd will shed some tears in his beer this Sunday afternoon...but I'm thinking they will be tears of happiness. I am predicting a statement win for the Miami Dolphins this Sunday.

Last week Atlanta managed to defend their home turf and get their first win of the season. While the end result was a 7-point victory, the Falcons were far from impressive. In fact, if it weren't for a couple silly mistakes by the Rams, the Falcons would have been in quite the nail-biter. The Falcons may have won last weeks battle, but a 16-game season in a long war of attrition, and the Falcons just suffered some major setbacks. Unfortunately the Falcons lost some key defensive players including Kroy Bierman, and more importantly, ILB Sean Weatherspoon. Notice how I didn't even bring up that Asante Samuel reaggravated his stubborn thigh injury. Speaking of thigh injuries, we all know about Steven Jackson's new injury, the new injury to fullback Bradie Ewing, and of course the infamous Roddy White ankle sprain that has been reluctant to heal.

This sounds like a team that desperately needs a bye week and its only week 3!!! When you add up all these injuries, combined with the fact that Atlanta will be traveling to Miami where on-the-field temperatures in September often reach the mid-90's, and you have a recipe for a long game for the Falcons.

And lets not ignore the Dolphins either. Winning on the road in the NFL is never easy, and they just won 2 consecutive road games. Granted beating Cleveland isn't much of an accomplishment these days, but winning at Indy, a playoff team last year, has to count for something. Ryan Tannehill has been a little under the radar as well. This may only be his 2nd year as a pro, but he has played under Mike Sherman for 4 years, and you can see his confidence growing with every game. I also think with Weatherspoon out, the Fish should be able to move the ball effectively on the ground.

I'm going with Fish in a statement win, and hopefully riding the hot hand gives us back-to-back covers.

MIA 31

Last week the Fish deserved to win. However, they are still not good enough to handle the Dirty Birds in this spot. Sorry BigDaddy Hpd

The Falcons lost 4 of their starters in the last game.  Not to mention several other banged up players.  Going on the road against a descent Fin team....no thanks.  Not gonna lose money on Atlanta this week.

Miami cover/win.

I hope you are right Sammy

Some news today about Tannehill being limited in practice today due to a shoulder injury he suffered in the Indy game. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/sfl-dolphins-qb-ryan-tannehill-shoulder-limited-in-wednesdays-practice-20130918,0,3986011.story

Momentum is riding high for the Dolphins right now. after successful back to back road victories I'm sure the fins are ready to put on a show for their fans in their home opener.
Atlanta is currently suffering from a bunch of nagging injuries. That won't help them against a bunch of HUNGRY dolphins.

FLIPPER wins.. 24-20

I agree with Sammy-Ace again and going with Miami on the M/L against a hurting Atl team...If KC can get to 3-0 so can the Phins

#1) I dont like this game

#2) dont bet this game

#3) But ill try to predict it logicly

Atlanta takes a huge hit with S. Jackson being out , And Roddy White not being to his full potential is also a big hit too .Miami can really cover Julio Jones more and downplay his game Tony Gonazles has been held to 36 yards or less the first 2 games ,(although he does have a TD)

The Dolphins are 2-0 for a reason , and have been playing hard hitting Defensive football . Tannehill looks decent , good throwing form and decent running game too .Cameron Wake is a real disrupter to any team , Wallace and heartline are good recievers . With a very good defense behind them and Miami is at home.

Miami  -1 or -2 ( but not 2.5 ! ,dont give da man the hook)

[/Quote]well ok i hear you but reality is the fins are a up and coming team ...reality sets in sunday ...fins have no one that can cover julio jones ..or roddy white will catch some ez passes ..hurt or not ...snelling is not a bad back more of a scat back ...gonzales will get his usual 60 70ish yrd 1 td ..ryan will do as usual ..fins dont have the man power to cover those three and davis rookie from oregon ..oh ya douglas.. top all that with the odds the finns win 3 in a row = falcons

(DE) Kroy Biermann gone for the season with a torn achilles
(FB) Bradie Ewing gone for the season with a broken collarbone
(RT) Mike Johnson gone for the season with a dislocated left ankle
(RB) Steven Jackson out for a month with a pulled hamstring
(LT) Sam Baker out with a foot and knee injury
(CB) Asante Samuel limited with a thigh injury
(WR) Roddy White limited with a high ankle sprain
(DE) Cliff Matthews limited with a neck injury
(WR) Julio Jones limited with a knee injury

ATL may be super depleted in a lot of areas of the field. But as long as ATL got Matty Ice standing in the backfield they still have a fighting chance to win! Early lean ATL +2 1/2.

*Ask yourself this question? As good as the Dolphins are this season and with all the injuries on ATL's roster why is the line still small?

Wouldn't be surprised if Miami wins this one in good fashion... Then again , I wouldn't be surprised to see Atlanta come out prepared in this one an defense is banged up . Over seems like a good one

the answer to this question is simple. A. Matt Ryan. B. the line is what the public makes it. atl is traditionally the better team. C. the public doesn't follow injuries.

that said, i'm still undecided.
