I'm feeling the Cardinals on this one also, I don't think Utah will be able to keep up with them, although Utah did put up points on Ucla. Plus its a Friday night game, the fav usuallly comes out.

LOUISVILLE Half and Game, they have no weight on shoulders except to go out and play fun football, team will play outstanding Play action, Harry and Mario will have a field day

Utah has tons of injuries, I agree that Ville is almost better off now that they aren't really playing for anything, they can just let it fly. Leaning to the Ville right now.

Every season I list down my power teams. Those are teams that I never bet against. Louisville has been on my list for a number of seasons. I had them on my list to start the season and have taken them off my list. Oklahoma is still on my list but barely hanging on since the beating.
If it is any help to anyone wagering on this game. For a number of seasons Louisville has been a powerhouse in the first half of games on and off the road. They are at home in this one the trend was even stronger at home.
This season the 1st half trend has not been as solid as the past seasons but should still be something to look at.
Good Luck on this one everyone. I'll be back on this thread if I decide to touch this one.

This game will be a blowout. Does anyone really think that the talent on Louisville is going to underachieve EVERY game. This is a save face at home game. I like the Cards here alot!

Whats worse....losing a close game to syracuse, or getting spanked by UNLV. Louisville will show up and force the mormons to throw the ball. Louisville will score on their first four possesions

LVille offense to take out season's frustrations on a banged up Utah....Utah mediocre offense won't be able to take advantage of mediocre LVille D.....Easy cover....

I sit me or does anyone see that Louisville gives up 28 points per game compared to Utah's 19? And to boot Utah has a better pass defense than Louisville. Louisville passes the ball alot. The high road is to take Utah's team total which is set at 24.5. i am taking the over their team total for starters. the under is 4-1 in utah's last five raod games. Now the game total is set at 61. Such a low total is a tip in Utah's favor. in order for Louisville to cover the spread of 14.5 or 17 to 21 points means that they are supposed to score 40 somethin odd points against a defense that gives up only 19 points and 349 total yards, 4.3 yards per rush, and 11 yards per pass, and an offense that holds onto the ball 28.46 minutes per game compared to Louisville's 33.33 minutes per game on offense...all of only 5 minutes give or take. But at the same time Louisville is giving up a whopping 422.8 yards per game, 4.7 yards per rush and 13.3 yards per pass. Look for Utah's offensive numbers to increase in this game. Louisville will give up too manu points to cover the spread. A wise move would be to tease UTAH AND THE UNDER, Based upon the number of possessions and the time that Louisville's offense will be off of the field while their defense continues to try to get a grip. Johnson is a veteran qb, and the injuries are not to significant players. Utah is 5-0 against big east team straight up and 7-1 straight up in it's last 8 ESPN games. Utah gets the nod in special teams with Derrick Richards who will constantly provide the offense with good field position.
So there you have it. Utah's team total over 24.5 and the under.

Oh and in the NFL I am taking all of the teams that had a bye last week, hoping to win 3 out of 4. New Orleans, the Skins, Titans and Jacksonville... No research involved this time, just love teams coming off of byes, and I hate Norv Turner for f*cking up a good thing. That was a lil vent.

Yo BigD, just recently joined covers and I have been following your picks along with ScorpioTD's NFL pick and its been a good run. I know there's a lot of research you guys do before slapping down your hard earned cash..but my question for anyone on the thread is money mgmt. If you guys are on a winning streak and are now playing with the bookies money, do you increase your bets each game or do you stick to a flat bet for each pick??? Rookie seeking advise...hopefully soon I will be able to contribute useful info to the thread. But like all things you need a good foundation to be successful. Thanks in advance....

Welcome to the covers thread bro
Speaking for myself I only wager or at times I use the word investment during the College & NFL seasons. Although the place where I turn my investments into has baseball, soccer, etc. I stick to football.
The break I have during the off season gives me a chance to build a bankroll. I build a pretty good bankroll during the off season but it means nothing without discipline. Of that bankroll I try to discipline myself into not going over 4% pending on how large of a bankroll you have. The larger the bankroll the smaller the percentage.
To answer your winning streak question. It should not change your thinking at all. Once again discipline. When you are on a winning streak ( BTW I never had that feeling before ) you develop patience and with patience you control what play you want not need. Remember wanting and needing is 2 different things. If you are winning and find nothing you want just take the rest of the day off and live to gamble another day with many more plays to come in the future. Why give back something you barely had your hands on? As I say to my friends over here on Maui I want to see my money looks like before I give it back. My friends are probably reading this and laughing right now because its true.
You will see me go crazy in here at times when I'm down by doubling my investment on the next play trying to chase down my losses. At times it works but at times I kick myself in the A$$ for being so stupid and undisciplined, but I'm only human.
Always remember it is what your total bankroll is at the end of the season not what you win or lose weekly. Discipline my friend is the key.
Good luck to you this season and I wish it will be a profitable one for you.
