South Carolina - 33                                  Texas A&M - 31

Aggies +10.5                               over 56

It's the year of the craft beer so the colonel will be kicking off the season with a six pack of Troegs Mad Elf..

If the line in this game is over 101/2. I will go with Texas A&M with the points.

tough game to cap...SC at home, great coach, 15 returning starters against Texas A&M with 5 star talent everywhere, an improved defense, solid skill position players and well coached.

No play for me...I see a high degree of variability of the outcome, this could be a blowout for SC, a tight game, or an upset win for the Aggies.

GL to those who play one of these sides.

SC QB not very special, he's a game manager. I don't see a 10pt cover unless the Aggies turn the ball over a lot. Sumlin teams usually protect the ball pretty well. I like the pts.

Good Luck this year Dr D.

Are we kidding ourselves to think A&M with that sorry a$$ defense can go into Columbia and keep this one close?  I am having second thoughts about this one. The more I research this game the more I have the Gamecocks winning it 35 - 17....

Cocks win cover and the game goes under. I am changing it up amigo which I HATE to do.....

Was way to hasty in making this pick.

Gamecocks - Under is the play.

Still going to enjoy the Mad Elf for tonights doubleheader.

Early lean on the Gamecocks & the Under too. SC should be able to control the tempo of the game pounding the ball with Davis & company. I see them running a lot to give some confidence to Thompson. A&M doesn't have an SEC class D as of yet.
As for the game- I'll be tailgating in Columbia drinking the finest craft beer SC has to offer. Coast Kolsch from Coast Brewery in N. Charleston!

The best time of year is here!!!!  Good to see the good ol crew still around.  This might be the 5 or 6th year in a row that the Colonel is the first post on the board!!!   Looking forward to what everyone has to say!

Oh....and at this time I have to lean towards taking the points.  SC wins, but early in the season, I gotta take those points in a conference matchup.

SoCar at home and the opening game of the season, SoCar wins.  But the final margin is only 6 pts.  Vegas has it wrong.  Too much "Johnny Football is gone" influence.
