I keep going back and forth on this game.  The slight mismatch will be Ole Miss's 24th passing O vs. GT's 87th passing D.  GT always provides an interesting matchup with their triple option attack and could control the clock.  Ole Miss has won 9 of their last 10 bowls, and I have no problem laying 3 points with an SEC school.  Good luck.

Frieze is a good coach and will have Rebs ready for the triple option.  Question is, do they have the players to shut down that option?  If so, they win the game.  Ga. Tech is one dimensional team.

Ole Miss -3

Story here is Miss DC Wommack was fired by Johnson a couple years ago. He'll have the troops ready.

Johnson has a poor record in bowls. Extra prep time helps opposition.

Hate to be a contrarian, although I admit this one has me going back and forth too, but I think the option will work against Miss.  I just don't think they are that tough up front and it is hard to find scout players capable of showing you what it will be like in the game.  I don't think either team is that much better than the other, so I am going with the gimmick offense.  Rebels haven't looked that good all year, and GT hasn't looked good in 45 years.  Over might be the better play because Tech defense has got holes in it so points might be plentiful, but I am just going for a small play on GT +3.

Ive been spot fading the "lower" half of the SEC all year.

GATk +3!!!     Ole Miss hasn't won a decent game all year.   TX, I can accept bc the Longhorns were a mess all Sept.  LSU, ill state again, was a gift.  Tigers (especially Mett) came out looking past them from the start.

Getting to that point where relying on the passing attack wont get it done.  I think the Jacket run D will show up and show some sweetness.

Mississippi has struggled to score the ball for the majority of the year; however I think they will find it a little easier sledding against this below average ACC defense.  With that said, put me down for Mississippi minus a field goal for a Nickel please.  Thanks!

Ole Miss was everyone's preseason "surprise" team in the SEC.  Ya think they really want to be here instead of playing for something much bigger.  They were buying the hype and now this season ( and this bowl) are a big fat downer.  Does anyone really think Bo Wallace is a serious QB?

GT offense is hard enough to prepare for when a team is motivated.  Even more so when the other team doesn't care.  ( see USC last year against GT ).

I think the game is pretty much a pick'me game.  Gonna take GT on the ML and also a small amount with the points.

On top of Ole Miss struggling to score all season, although being against SEC defense, Ole Miss will be missing 2 very important pieces on their offense. With the missing WR/TE and RB on top of Gerogia Techs style of play, on top of pretty much every other bowl game going under, give me the under 55. GL

10 units on the over 55.5.  Gt option will put up 35+ points and miss will play from behind.  5 units on GT+3

ole miss -3. If you were a monkey that bet on the SEC every bowl season and faded the MAC conference you would be one sharp betting monkey. Here is why. The bottom half SEC teams are better than they look and the top half MAC teams are worse than they look. So every bowl season and I mean EVERY bowl season there is value in betting on the SEC and betting against the MAC. Are there exceptions to this rule? Of course, a sharp bettor only wins close to 60% of the time. Now be a sharp monkey rather than a square human.

I’ve watched Mississippi on a couple of occasions and I attributed that shutout in Tuscaloosa to Alabama outstanding defense, but I really say it this afternoon; Hugh Freeze is just a flat out terrible play caller period!

At any rate, nice piece of work Mississippi and Under backers!
