Alabama beat the snot out of LSU QB Mettenberger last week. I don't know how healthy he will be this week. Line is LSU-4.5. I would like to hear from Soulpurpose or someone who really knows the SEC before I bet on this one.

If Mettenberger is healthy this should be a great over play as both offenses are light years ahead of the two defenses. With Zach back, 80+ points total is almost a cinch.  A&M is just a terrible defense so the power running game from LSU will work regardless of ZM's availability.  That may be Miles' strategy anyway to keep Johnny Cash off the field and rest his defense.  Tigers are tough in Red Stick so I am looking to play it safe and take TAMU +14 as part of a 3 team teaser.

Good luck to all, going to be a fun game to watch (but what LSU game isn't?)

I really like the aggies in this spot, I feel that this should be closer to a pick-em and only that because of LSU getting homefeild, last year LSU not only had the style, but the players to exicute the style in order to beat A+M, they still have the style, but I am not sure they have the players, for those who pay attention I am currently 10 -2 in my biggest college football play of the week this season,  this is it, AGGIES+4.5, 8 units, with 4 units moneyline as well, also in college basketball pennsylvania +23 vs iowa, and wright state -15 vs houston baptist are very solid plays that go off tomorrow

Was one of your losses that Baylor/ISU game that you were so sure about? No offense to you, I believe your record but for some reason everytime I see you make a play, it loses. So I hope I'm not bad luck for you.

Lean LSU here

LSU isn't as good during the day at home so the home field advantage will be non existent. LSU is beat up & deflated after losing their "Super Bowl" last week and really isn't playing for anything. Being from SEC country, I see TX A&M for the cover.

Not entirely true. I did some research myself and read the local papers and everything. It turns out LSU will be making a stand on D to prove to the world that they are still a solid team, just as they were last season. I look for LSU to shut down Texas A&M in this one. And they're going to have to shut them down if they want to keep this close. Texas A&M simply has too much firepower. I think their lowest scoring game all season was 42 points. LSU Rarely gets above 40, so I think there's a reason for LSU being favorites here. This game will not be as high scoring as most people think, I don't believe.

it turns out that i will be flying across the world with a cape and a broom... saying something and doing something is apples and oranges. The lowest point total the ags have put up this year in a game is 41 pts... 41 PTS. I'm not saying that lsu can't win and cover because that aggie defense is pretty terrible, but i would like to know your definition of the lsu defense shutting an offense down. To me keeping an offense around 20 pts or less is shutting a team down... that definitely will not happen

If the weather is clear and the turf is not soggy during game time, I think the Over 72 is the play.  Even Bama couldn't contain A&M.  Johnnie Football is playing at a high level.  Too bad that A&M's defense is so porous.  If you look at all of A&M's games this year, the ones that go under is because A&M was so ahead that J.M sat out after half-way 3Q and let that Joke-cole QB play.  The backup QB is terrible.  If A&M is play from behind, you can bet that the over will fly, because J.M will do his magic.

as an LSU fan I watched every snap for years now and I can tell u that LSU's defense this season is terrible.  I took A&M and over the only thing that scares me is LSU's passing game the last 2 SEC games wasn't as good as it was earlier in the year so I feel that Les Miles will attempt to get his running game going and eat up the clock in hopes of keeping Manziel off the field, so the game could struggle to go over.

Thanks soulpurpose. All I've seen is accurate detailed write-ups and predominately winning picks from this guy. Glad to see you rolling into college basketball. I won't post much there because my opinion in that sport is worthless but I have some people I follow that make me money. Screw the pro sports, college football and basketball have so many teams that a capper stands a much better chance to find good bets. followed by followed by followed by  in a perpetual cycle.

Another huge stage for Manziel..  he will make the difference.  Aggies win it outright.  37-34.  Taking A & M + 5.  GLA!

Should be a hard fought battle, just remember Les Miles is a idiot!  Cam should have the offense ready but its the defense that's the problem!  Day games here in Baton Rouge are not the same, I can't say that enough!

Put me down for AM +5, if LSU wins it will be close IMO.

Think the Aggies keep it close enough for the points to pay off.

The only one that can stop the Aggies offense are the Aggies. Unlike some of the other spread offenses, they have a solid offensive line with another 1st round LT, big receivers and a stable of running backs aside from Manziel and the system. LSU won't be able to stop them whether they are making a stand or not. I can see LSU pounding the run game on ATMs horrid defense and trying to control the clock so last one with the ball may win this one. I agree this should be more of a pick game so ill take ATM and the points here.
