3-2 last night and hit my biggest bet of the year (Texas AM).. That was close and I immediately regretted laying out so much, but I'll take it. 5-3 to start the week is fine. Tonight I am providing some brief writeups:
Penn State +11 (bt .5 -120) I just think 11 on the road is a tough number to lay. Probably hellish travel out to Happy Valley for Wisco, they have covered two in a row, while PSU has been cold. I think the line is overvalued so I will take what I consider to be 2 extra points on this line.
Loyola Chicago +9 Again, I think Northern Iowa is being overvalued in a tough spot on the road. Have not seen a ton of Loyola Chicago basketball, regrettably, but I will take my chances with a home dog and public thrashing of No Iowa. Bash that analysis, but I feel comfortable laying a regular sized wager with this rationale
Tulsa -11 A MUCH better team that has had a week off after a public beatdown. I like Tulsa as a darkhorse tourney team and I think they kick it in the right direction. ECU has been good about covering big spreads (except for Temple), but that has mainly been at home. I'll lay down on Tulsa in this spot.
Iowa State +2 I think the Cyclones flex their muscles tonight. I realize they have been bad on the road, but I think that is being taken into account with this spread. They should be favored over this OK St team. Banking on them coming to play/revealing a somewhat fraudulent team IMO in OKie St.

2-1-1 with a pretty tough push. Anyone see that 14 point lead in the Tulsa game? Foul a guy going for a layup with 2 seconds left and the 3 point play for the push.. Oh well.
