I have been around Covers for some times and don't usually post that much. Noticed few are top of their heads when they win and disappear when they begin loosing. I think this is a journey and result should be measured at the end of the marathon. You cannot win every bet you put in, whether it is one of your own or tailed someone who has a winning record.
Being humble is one thing I have learned a longtime back. As a professional Table Tennis player during my time (I will be 50 next year) I have had good success but never reached the top. That did not disappoint me instead I became more humble. Being a natural sports person, I picked up golf at 40, set a goal to be scratch in 3 years. This has yet to happen. Golf is even more humbling game than any sports I have played. I do pretty OK in golf. NCAAB has never been my thing and I lost a lot last year but I learned through my mistakes. I am doing decent so far. NFL is where I do good.
Many occasions I have seen some good guys predict results based on team/players/matchups and other logistics. But these are best practices when take the most important factor out in betting...and that is "Who is Paying You?". End of the day Vegas has to remain profitable. Many a times I have seen that better team lose to a unexpectedly poor team and your bet/s have gone bad. Vegas factors always play in. I never believed in this theory but I had learnt this from someone in the past.
I have hit over 65-70% of my plays in Australian Open during early rounds. This is just a n example and I am not even sure if I can hit that again. Just got lucky may be.
I do not get too pumped up when I win and do not get too pissed when I lose. Being on the right side of Vegas is the key and wish we all know how to figure that one out.

You know what,,, I don't think I've ever know any one, who has known anyone, who actually knew a real pro ping-pong (or is strictly table tennis?) player.
Here... now with my cyber shake, I have just risen the ranks in my circle of friends.
