With all these MF timeouts. Ridiculous. I would just play starting 5 the whole game. How can you get tired? You start the game and get a break 4 min in. Play a game and get another break at 11 min mark. A coach calls timeout and then boom another timeout at 7 min mark. Pure trash

No question the amount/length of commercial breaks is completely out of hand

The guy is 100 percent right.  Both college and pro players have so many timeouts during a game, even the most out of shape athlete should be able to play.
Besides all the timeouts college players almost always walk the ball up the court and pass it around for 25 seconds before they actually do anything physical that can tire them out.

a basketball player could never keep up with a soccer player, thats for sure

It's true, Capital One is paying a shitload to have Baldwin and Chuck jammed down our throats.

But yeah, I don't see the players need to take breaks. The TV timeout is close to three minutes and it seems called timeouts are the same.

Also, why do coaches burn time outs right before media timeouts?

It seems like every coach does the timeout before the media timeout thing.  I don't know why.

The timeout before the media timeout pisses me off. I pretty much just change the channel and come back 10 minutes later to the same score lol

watching these games in person is terrible as well.  couple minutes of action then a bunch of sitting around being bored.  the last few minutes are the most ridiculous.

think about it this way in terms of stops in action.

Media TOs = 8
Halftime = 1
Team TOs = 10

that's 19 stops in action during a game (assuming all team TOs are used), and that doesn't even take into account the ref timeouts to review there sh itty calls.

games run a little over 2 hours with only 40 of that being actual game clock running.

8 media timeouts?? Why they hell do they give team more than 3 timeouts! College ball turns in to timeouts and teams passing the ball around for 25-30 seconds. I love college ball but they need some fixing. Reduce the shotclock to 30 seconds and fix the charges this crap is getting out of hand

Yeah there is a TV time out (guess I should of said this instead of media) every 4 minutes.  So first dead ball after 16 min, 12 min, 8 min, and 4 min mark of each half.

You bring up another great point about charges.  It is such a physical game an we let people flop like biotches.  One time down the defender will stand tough and push back on you to keep you from backing him down.  The next time down he flops over and gets a charge.  Also the defender will literally run in front of a driving player and fall down getting a charge.  It is ridiculous.  Hurts the game and star players.

Its really annoying for a team to pass the ball around for 30 seconds then drive and get called for a charge. This is the biggest reason why I mostly play unders in college ball
