Every year there seems to be a region where your bracket has a whole bunch of red "X's" on it, basically because things just don't go to form. In my opinion, the Midwest region is just that for 2013. As I pour over the matchups, I wouldn't at all be surprised by a Sweet 16 that didn't include a 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 seed. Would that be crazy? Absolutely. But I think the Midwest, at least partially, will be one of chaos. Louisville is the team to beat in the tourney and they looked real good coming back against the Cuse in the Big East Finals. While they have the make up to come back, much of that rally was Syracuse going cold from the field and turning the ball over. The Ville's third round matchup is one where neither team will be a push over and where both teams excel at putting the ball in the hoop. I do not think we see the Cardinals in the Elite 8. So if not them, then who? I love Saint Louis, but that being said, I could also make a case for Okie State and Oregon. And of course there is Colorado State and Missouri who I already think will frustrate the Cardinals. The top half of this region has six teams who I can see making the Elite 8. In the bottom, while it also has six teams who can make the Elite 8, I personally am low on three of them. Duke, Michigan State and Memphis are all teams that I was looking to fade at some point in this tournament against the right matchup. And I think with each, I will get it in the form of Creighton and Middle Tennessee State (twice). Sweet 16 in the bottom of Creighton vs. MTSU? It sure seems odd and sure seems unlikely, but I think it's got a real shot...
Elite 8 Prediction (for now): I'm too all over the place to predict this one just yet, but stay tuned...
As for the upsets, I see a ton of them here, at least for now, but I'm still digging through all of this...

Why do you think Creighton is a bad matchup for duke? Kelly seems as well suited as any to guard Doug, and Creighton defense hardly seems capable of slowing down duke.
