Grinnell College's Jack Taylor scored an NCAA-record 138 points Tuesday in a 179-104 win over Faith Baptist Bible.
The previous record was a 113-point performance from 1954.
Taylor is a sophomore for the Division III school. The 5-foot-10 guard finished 52-of-108 from the field and 27-of-71 from 3-point range. (Yes, Taylor really did launch 71 3-pointers.) He's now scored 185 points in three games this season, meaning he's averaging -- ready for this? -- 61.7 points per game for the Pioneers.
