Surprised you have not hammered MTSU. As close to an auto-play as you can get.

The thing I worry about backing Oreg St tonight is that they don't play a lick of defense. That will play right into the hands of Wash St. If they don't thrown out of rhythm, they will put up 90 and if the Beavs aren't hitting, could be a tight game down to the wire...

Minnesota-Middle Tennessee...
I don't have a clear read here as there are several concerns on both sides. My issue with MTSU is the energy expended in the comeback at big bro Tennessee on Monday night. Yes, there will be a great crowd tonight in Murfreesboro and this is arguably the biggest game in quite awhile for the program, but it's really not an ideal spot considering most of these kids treated the UT game as their Super Bowl. Minnesota played in front of a very hostile crowd last week at La Salle in the biggest game to hit Tom Gola Arena in about a decade. Personnel-wise, the Raiders kind of look like a B1G team. They're strong, physical, play outstanding defense, and can control tempo. They have a nice collection of slashers (Massey, Knight) and the team gets to the free throw line a ton (#8 in the country in attempts). Problem is, they suck when they get there. Dendy won't be able to do his usual work around the basket with Williams defending and the Gophers at this point can go about 10-deep, so foul trouble isn't  a huge concern. As a Minnesota backer, I'd be concerned about travel. After two consecutive OT games in the B1G tournament, they briefly returned to Minneapolis for two days before flying halfway across the country to Philly. After beating La Salle, they flew to Miami, where they spent three full days before playing the 'Canes. According to what I read, they then charted directly from Miami into Tennessee and arrived yesterday. That's a ton of travel for a team accustomed to playing a rather consistent schedule all season in the B1G. Another issue for me is Minny's habit of turning the ball over. The young guards (Hollins, Coleman, Armelin) have improved as the season has gone along, but they'll be running into some savvy, rugged opposition tonight. The Raiders rank 21st in the country in turnovers forced per possession at home. Bottom line is, this should be a really intense game and I'll make a play if an opportunity presents itself via live betting.

Yep, as good as the Beavs are at home this Washington State offense runs some nice sets and will probably be able to put up  points. One positive working in OSU's favor is the fact that Wazzu just played the antithesis in terms of style on Monday against Wyoming. How will they adjust to the polar opposite tonight? Might not be as big a deal as they've already played the Beavs 3 times this season, so there's a ton of familiarity.

Reasons this went over...
A) familiarity
B) they are two of the highest scoring teams in the country
C) they don't know a slow pace

Maybe next time, you can pick your team by who has the prettier uniform and your sheep followers can hold your jock again.
Btw, I want my money!

Yeah, not strong though. Definitely would not play the over given the quality of defenses and what is at stake for both teams.

Would you play Under 58.5 1H ? Since end of game free throws may send it over.. like Penn/Butler came close but was extremely under 1H !

I actually would not play that one. Randle has been putting up some big numbers as of late and will get a bunch of quality looks against the Nevada zone. They're pretty much running the whole offense through him right now, so if he's getting 12-15 field goal attempts, that's a lot of opportunities for points.

Yeah, that seems fine as well. I'm on the full game under because Brad Stevens is as good as anyone in the business at making defensive adjustments at halftime. Butler is 11th in the country in 2nd half points allowed, but only 62nd in 1st half points allowed. I'd also expect to see a nip-and-tuck game down to the wire, which requires both teams to value each possession and work in a deliberate manner.

Nice article appreciate that as I wasnt aware of there turnover stats being 21st in the nation at home. The fact that after losing OT to Mich and then coming home for 2 days and beating Lasalle was huge. Now as a 20 year old they go to Miami for 3 days not to bad and beat the socks off Miami and now go to Tenn  Andre Hollins from Memphis and Austin Hollins from Germantown basically coming home to play for a chance to go to MSG. Laron Dendy looks like a B1G player and he will be the brute for MTSU. Minny seriously should be as confident as anytime all year right now. I do like the under and its hard to play that with all the NIT totals over but I think this is a different matchup tonite. Im playing Minny also because of the Lasalle game and the Hollins men coming home.

I think Stanford wins by double digits tonight. They played a sub-par game against Illinois St that other night, and Ill. St. shot the hell out of the ball all game, yet Stanford still pulled out a W. Really like the home team in this spot, Stanford can man up with Nevada's big man and they're more athletic than Nevada. Big win for Stanford tonight!

3/21 Card
Pittsburgh @ Butler Under 127 (1 unit)
Pittsburgh @ Butler 2H Over 67 (0.5 units)
Nevada +6 @ Stanford (1 unit)
(Live) Minnesota @ Middle Tennessee Under 139 (0.75 units)
(Prop) Deonte Burton Points + Assists Over 19.5 (0.75 units)

That is all, unless something pops up in the Nevada-Tree game.

Not sure I can agree on the athleticism aspect. Burton is a future NBA guard and Hunt is a tremendous shot blocker (Nevada all-time leader). The only guy who potentially poses an athletic issue is probably Powell, but he's really inconsistent. Should be a great ballgame.

Correct, but my standard unit is small, so we're talking a few bucks here. I now have a full unit on Nevada +6 through 5Dimes.

Nice win Gophers you were right free throws unfortunately won it. Spoiled our unders. If you hadnt written that article about the game I wouldnt have played Minny but I didnt know after the Lasalle game they didnt go home and then to Miami. That helped make my decision plus the 2 Hollins being from there. Alright lets go Nevada and congrats Gophers.
