This game is a look at two teams that will make there way back towards the top of the Big 10 in 2011-2012 and 2012-2013.
Iowa is very young, new uptempo McCaffery offense and are now starting to show they have talent. They have played 3 of the last 4 halfs in a dominating fasion on the road 1H at Michigan and both halfs at home against MSU.
Indiana has played very well beating Minn at home (although a major injury to MINN), almost beat MSU at MSU, and beat Illinois at home. My feeling is MSU is just not good this year and Illinois/Indiana always play close so I'm not surprised with these wins and I'm not "overly excited" about them either.
Iowa's young team going into Indiana is a concern, Iowa dominated Indy at home a couple of weeks ago. In that game Indiana 6'9 230lb Christian Watford led Indiana in a loss with 30 points shooting 10 of 20, 7-7 Fts, 3-7 3pt, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.............PROBLEM AS WATFORD IS OUT. And along with Maurice Creek being out how long can Indiana continue to perform at a high level with two of their best if not the best players on their team?
Iowa is healthy, but young. Going into Indiana and expecting a win is a very lofty goal but if they play like they did against MSU and more importantly the 1H at Michigan I can see an outside chance of that happening.
Iowa has covered the last 3 games ATS
Iowa went into Indiana last year and won by 15
Iowa has won the last 3 by 45 points or 15pg
Iowa and Indiana both "could" have a let down after their last wins, but I beleive they are too young, hungry and will listen to their coaches and neither will have a let down.
Here is my play (note: I am an Iowa Homer, however I have bet against them up until last game and I picked them against MSU due to Iowa's recent play and MSU sucking dog dung)
