So I was just looking over Santa Barbara schedule and see that the Gauchos have lost most of their road games and will be over-matched today for the Rebels, who are coming off their first loss.
Gauchos have had good scrappy teams in the past and will put up a good fight. Here is a quick look at this team from SO Cal....
The Gauchos return five starters from a 20-win team, and two are big-time scorers. Junior forward James Nunnally averages 21.9 points per game, and junior guard Orlando Johnson averages 21.4.
I see that there are some who are looking at the over 64 in the first half. I see Rebels coming out strong and will be well rested after traveling 8,620 miles beginning in Anaheim for the 76 Classic and ending pooped out in Louisville. The defensive pressure that has been their bread and butter will be back and stronger than ever!!
Trevon Willis will be back in the starting lineup so look for him to exert himself in the first half. I just think that SB will be intimidated in the first half with the fireworks and the crowd that will expect Rebels to come out smoking!!! SB will have trouble scoring in the first 10 minutes so I would be hesitant take the FH over and better to take the FH -9 for the Rebels. It depends on the the intensity in the second half if the Rebels will be able to sustain the lead and cover the 16 points. Kruger will make sure that the bench gets plenty of action if they get to a 20 point lead. Rebels are also 1-5 ATS last 6 games so I think the trend stands!!!
Santa Barbara +16 and over 142
Thoughts are welcomed and appreciated!! especially those that know Rebel and MWC Basketball!!!

Looking at the fact that this is down to 15.5, and still at -9 1h tells me that I still like my 1h play. If i'm Kruger, I can't get through to them when they collapse in the 2h and still win, but can when they get destroyed in the 2h by Louisville. That is the thing that worries me about playing aginst UNLV tongiht. USCB has the talent and experieince to cover this number, and as I wrote, had UNLV won at louisville, I would be all over that -now I just am not sure.
I also worry that UCSB will struggle to score in the 1h

UCSB is so bad taking care of the ball. . . they average 15 turnovers a game and they've had the benefit of playing teams like Denver, North Dakota St. and Portland that don't even put pressure on the offense. I like the experience they have but I think they're in for a long night.

Not the way I wanted to win the spread. I wrote in one of my reports that every year the Rebels get shook back to reality, usually after 8-10 games. I assumed that the total was 142 from reading Sharps thread. I did think that the game was going to start of slow and then eventually go over the total. I was able to get 137 when I finally made it to the window at Sams Town. I have seen games in the past follow this trend and have lost under bets with 80 point second halfs so it does happen.
The second half total was 78 points my friends and with the Rebels missing 14 free throws and shooting 6 of 29 from 3 it could have went over 142!!! As it is I won at the window but posted 142 my bad!! Keep up the good work Sharp and never mind your nut swingers and haters there is always riff raff everywhere!! It is OK to disagree with me!!
