Rough week so far.
FLORIDA ATLANTIC +1.5 (2.75 UNITS) - GH will be there today front and center but that's not the reason I like it; in fact, more the reason I will be there. First off this is a huge coaching mismatch: Mike Jarvis against Mo Cassara. Cassara was set to be Tim Welch's assistant and inherited the job when Tim Welch resigned after his arrest for drunk driving. He is not a true head coach yet. FAU is the better team. I was at this game last year and Hofstra had a much better team then and they were lucky to squeak out a 67-63 win due to some young mistakes by FAU. FAU now ranks 4th nationally in offensive turnover percentage as they take great care of the ball. Hofstra is a one man team. Charles Jenkins is a potential NBA draft pick and will get his 24+ points but his weak supporting cast does not match up well with a much deeper FAU team. Hofstra ranks in the bottom 12 teams in the country in bench minutes. FAU is already road tested as they beat a solid Mississippi State team on the road two games back and had a nice 8 point win over South Florida at home in their last. FAU ranks 68th in SOS this year while Hofstra ranks 176th. FAU is the much better team this year, with a coaching advantage, more depth, is road tested and is seeking revenge.
