Prediction: San Diego St. is going to make next season's Final Four

Assuming they aren't in Purdue or Michigan St.'s region.  San Diego St. has a bigtime frontcourt;  Billy White, Kawhi Leonard, Malcolm Thomas, Brian Carlwell, and Tim Shelton, if he is healthy. They'll be led by an experienced pg DJ Gay and there is also depth in the backcourt and they are led by a good, experienced head coach.  If this happens, ya'll heard this here 1st

SD State will be a very solid team, BOL with your predicition. Should be fun to watch.

Like SDSU for the past three years.  Always figured they would break out one of these years.  For them to go into Vegas and win the Mountain West last year and finish runner up the year before but knocking UNLV out is tough to do.  Why they cannot parlay that momentum in the tourny is beyond me.

well, looks like 6-6 SG Tyrone Shelley is transfering from SDST.  Not a huge,huge loss, but does affect depth and he was their biggest guard.  They should still be tough and well prepared for the big dance by playing in the competitive MWC.

After watching the San Diego St. v. Tennessee tourney game, I'm not as bullish about the Aztecs making the Final 4.  Now granted, they were playing a pretty good Vols team on the East coast, but their ball movement and player movement was lacking.  There was too much one-on-one play.  Unless coach Fischer makes adjustments and gets them to play better on offense this is a sweet 16 team based on talent but won't go much farther.

They just have terrible free throw shooting as a team. They are solid mid-major though.

A good  early test for SD st. will be the Gonzaga game. Good luck with that. A big game for both teams for sure. ZAGS are 50-1.

The biggest obstacle in their way is the hype.   If they can be focused and not get caught up in themselves, they could beat anyone they face this year.  But the hype has always been the Aztec's downfall in the past.  All the pieces are in place, now and Coach Fisher is getting long in the tooth, so better "Git 'er dunn" boys!  Go Red and Black!

love this. i am a student at sdsu and go to almost all their games. kawhi leonard is an absolute beast and i think this will be his last season here before he declares into the draft

sdsu is returning about 85% of their scoring from last year. like someone posted above tyronne shelley transfered, but its not a big loss. 

labradford franklin and jamaal franklin are 2 very athletic freshman that should be backing up tapley and gay. james rahon is a transfer from santa clara who should be stroking it from the perimeter

i am so damn excited for this season, this FF prediction is bold, but i love it
