I'm watching the replay of Kyrios/Bouchard vs Svitolina/Sitak right now. It's amazing how different Kyrios is in mixed doubles. First, he is smiling all the time and very engaged with positive body language. In singles, he always looks like he doesn't care with negative body language. Also, the interaction with Bouchard is very playful on both sides. Bouchard seems to handle him well and smiling more also. I wouldn't be surprised if there is something going on between the two. Anyways, my main point is that Kyrios does seem to have this other side to him... it's just a matter of how to bring this to his singles game.

Well liked by the media and public due to her looks.
She's alienated most of her friends from the juniors including her bff Robson, who is one of the most liked players, and just consistently does things .ie. handshake incidents at the Fed Cup to irritate the other women on tour. She's also ice cold towards other players claiming she's not on the tour to make friends and just there to play tennis. Just a snobby, diva mentality at the moment and not media savvy like Sharapova who went through the same phase as a youngster.
Both have a lot of growing up to do and it starts with their inner circle of friends, family, and coaches. Bouchard is attempting to figure that out at least and making some changes.

hmm.. i didn't know. As far as what I see on TV, I haven't seen that side of her. Did the story of her dissing everyone come out after she started getting big or was she like that even before? As far as what I seen on court and TV, she doesn't seem so bad though... but I guess you never know. The worse attitude by far has to be Serena by far though.

Look, I'm from around the area she grew up in montreal and trust me. They had money already, it's a richer quiet area. Everyone's fancy pompous pricks, if you're not already one for being a quebecker or from Montreal then you're definitely some rich snob bithch if you're raised wealthy from the area she's from. Spoiled

Mixed is easier for him to be relaxed because I think he's treating it like an exhibition match. If they win, cool. If they don't, no one cares that much about mixed except for the hardcore dubs guys/girls and they are likely the ones who will win it.
Everything you hear and read about NK, his off-court persona is much more relaxed and loose. At this point, it's the on-court pressure I think that gets to him and he has not matured yet to the point where he handles it well obviously. That hopefully should come with age and having the right people around him (Hewitt hopefully more than just a short term mentor).
I think the big thing is he should just go out and have fun in singles. The media is going to bash him for every little thing he does like ESPN did the other night in the Murray match. He should just be loose and play WTF style. If he had a little more Monfils in him as far as the looseness in "care" on the court, he might turn some people back on his side.
That is the thing that has bothered me during this whole episode is that guys like Monfils, Paire, Fognini - they are bigger clowns than Kyrgios, but they don't get the ire of the public because they aren't the hot button guy.
Paire for God's sake, people are talking about him so nicely this week. The guy absolutely tanked a whole set a month or so ago. That is never brought up. Whereas NK is still paying for stuff he did two months ago at Wimbledon & of course last month. Just shows you how the media latches onto one thing and keeps whipping it.
