Sharapova is 3-0 h2h, although 2 of those are from 2012 on hard courts. She did win this year on clay, 16 62 63. Sharapova has won 6 out of 7 sets they have played. Halep is 12-0 sets in the french open and Sharapova is 12-3. Sharapova has all the experience and achievements and Halep is 22 years old and came pretty much out of no where, as she was ranked 50+ a year ago. Although most of the information i posted above would lead one to believe Sharapova is the play, I have to disagree. Halep seems to have the perfect, all -around game. Great return game, very good serve, awesome off the ground, at the net, etc. Not many weaknesses in her game. Not only can she run down all of Sharapova's screamers, she can put enough pace on her groundstrokes to trouble sharapova and force unforced errors. I also think Sharapova has showed some weakness, losing sets in the french open to Muguraza, Genie, and Stosur (all in the 1st set). Halep also seems like a player that holds her nerves well and wont be too daunted by the task of a grand slam final. The odds for Halep +1.5 sets are -180 and the only extra protection that adds instead of Over 22 is in the case that Halep blows Sharapova off the court in less than 22 games. I dont see that happening as Sharapova will surely bring her best effort to try and get the title. I see a 3 set match, basically a toss up. Another reason i prefer the over rather than the +1.5 sets is in the case that Halep keeps it close 2 sets but still loses (IE: 76 64).

Halep not in the same league. Respect your opinion more than anyone on this tennis forum. What Maria did to her last month was proof she may be #4 but no where near Maria.

Tricky play, there is the risk Halp chokes in her first grand slam final and gets steam rolled in straight sets. I don't know much about WTA tbh but hey it is WTA after all.
