Well Brugge and Anderlecht won their first games and Standard will expect to do the same, and they might, but I'm not putting my money on it after that performance in the Super Cup where they ended up losing after being up 0-1 and Brugge going down to 10 men. The position of coach Ferrera has been under fire since last season and if good results don't come quick this season he'll be gone. Somewhat surprising, new signee Benito Raman starts right away today. Edmilson and Santini can always get on the scoresheet.
Westerlo has played Standard tough the last few games, winning or drawing some, but they haven't had anything to lay for since the early spring, when they managed to secure another season in the top league. Big plus for the hometeam is striker Benji De Ceulaer, who could very well get one today, but they lost their top scorer Gounongbe to transfers.
So, I lean towards a Standard win, but can't back them until I've seen some results, so far they have to be considered suspect, with the shuffling of newcomers in both teams and inexperienced defences, I will take the goals this morning. Thinking of a 1-2, 2-2 type game.

Goal by Santini and assist by De Ceulaer and both bets won by HT. Standard is a mess and glad I passed on the -125 ml, be interesting to see what they can do 2nd half.

If I have any thoughts for the later ones I'll post them here, but just because I got lucky so far doesn't mean the rest will go my way, that's why I usually just post in the live thread.

Genk-Oostende at noon. Genk at home, the team showed incredible potential in the last half of the past season, I had them picked to do very well this year, the only outgoing transfer of note was anchor in defense Kabasele, which will be felt for some time, the rest of the team is pretty much unchanged, and will be looking forward to goals by Karelia, Kebano and Buffel, this is an offensive heavy team and I think it will show this year. Oddly, they have not played well in warm up events and I'm not sure I want to pick them as a side, although I heavily lean that way. They have won 2 matches in Europa so far, so do have some match rhythm with real games.
Oostende played well in the beginning of last season and then somewhat disappointed near the end. They will have a new home stadium this season, when it's ready. They lost Jordan Lukaku, which is big, but they have spent large in buying lots of new players, Tomasevic and Proto (from Anderlecht) the most important.
So for today, I expect goals again, surprise, Kabasele will be missed at the back for Genk and their front line is always potent, Oostende is not a sit back and absorb type of team, they have not played any "real" games yet and the reshuffling with new players will leave some areas exposed, they also have a solid attack and I could see them getting an away goal here. Guessing at a 2-1, 3-1 or 3-2 result here.
Stabs for this one:
Genk ml @ -125
Over 2.5 @ -125
BTS and over 2.5 @ +115
Over 3.5 @ +225
I won't be around for line up confirmation or the start of the game, as I'm heading out to hit 's. Don't whine me if all these lose.

Back, not gonna lie, really surprised and disappointed that the HT score is 0-0. I see a lot of good chances and attempts in the 1st half, but no cigar.
Tempted to add Genk ml and over 1.5 for the game live, but think I will let my originals ride out. If it ends bad, so be it.

Holy shiit what a finish to that game! Instead of winning 1 out of 4 I win 3 out f 4 in 3 mins time..... Well, my luck is definitely used up for today......

The team that ruined my day is my own hometown.... Gent was weak, slow and uninspired, 1-1 draw is just a very disappointing result for this team. The combo of Simon-Depoitre does not work imo.
5-4 today, 4-1 yesterday and 2-1 friday in Belgium. Shame about the last game, but a very nice, profitable weekend in the home league.
