But first, let me just say......
A ) I think Belgian soccer is rubbish. Extremely unimaginative and makes me sick to my stomach to watch. They should stick to making chocolates.
B) Italian soccer is so full of faking injuries and dives, that they can slow down a 90 minute game to only 40 minutes of actual soccer
C) Mourinho is a loser, and always will be. He has the worlds largest payrolls at his disposal, and wins nothing with them.
D) English soccer is all a matter of kicking it as far down the field as possible, and hope someone can get to it before the goal keeper does. Makes my stomach turn, just go watch.
At this point I have definately offended at least a few people, and certainly got their blood flowing. Imagine if every time your Belgium, Italian or English team lost, I brought these comments back to the forefront ? How about a 5 month period ?
Should I be held accountable for what I say ? Should people just assume I am being sensitive due to past situations ?
You can be assured that Ganda would take issue, A number of Italians would already be organizing a hit on me, and plenty of English and Mourinho fans would take a piece out of me to the nth degree.
So, after 5 months of hearing DJ ( the class act ) spew toxic comments, I actually inquired......" Ouch......that was harsh ". Suddenly, the little clique's on covers, are rallying together to get the schoolyard bully. ( today we will call him franz555 ).
They say things like.....you would think that you would be nicer to people on covers, especially after your health issues ".......I wasn't aware that I had become un nice to " people "? I was also told that I owe DJ an apology ? I could have sworn he insulted me about my foolish betting on my fav team.
Over my 7 years on covers, I have witnessed many occasions where people's bigotry has not been tolerated in the soccer forum. I have been a full supporter of such actions, as I do not tolerate it in the world I live in. My parents came to this country from Germany in the mid 50's, and knew exactly what they were fleeing from. I was forced to turn the other cheek time and time again, when called such names as " Nazi Boy " or " person Killer ".
Hey, I understand the difference between a comment made in anger, or one that is meant for impact. But from my experiences, if someone continues to poke you in the eye ( say over a 5 mth period ), they should expect an eventual response.
" Ouch......that was harsh " was my polite way of asking WHY ?
Just think when it will be your turn to ask the right question of the wrong person. Doing the popular thing, just isn't in my make up. And I will not appologize for that to anyone, even if their little " clique " has now pegged me as the " school yard bully " for letting the popular kid know that he doesn't appreciate all the extra effort being made to broadcast Hate.
Guess you were all expecting to see a winning pick with a write up, when you came upon this thread.
Peace and love to all, I harbour no ill will to anyone !
Having an opinion, and being able to voice it, is a beautiful thing. But it can come with consequences too, if thrown around recklessly !
