Which Position so you think requires better reflexes:
Catcher (MLB)
Goalie (NHL)
Heres what I think, it has to be an nhl goalie simply because the oppossing team is obviously trying to score and avoid having their shot saved and the pitcher is obviously trying to aim down the glove of the catcher. But what if you did an experiment to try and determine which would be harder by leveling the playing field and not letting the catcher no where the pitch would end up in the strike zone or a little bit outside and probably a given area so that the both the goalie and the catcher would have to cover the same distance to make the save or the catch?
slikstiks99 : hahahha yeah my picture is a stonefish one of the most venomous seawater creatures in the world check them out on google. any reasoning behind the nhl goalie?
Rocafella: thats what I think too but do you have any logical or scientific reasons behind why?

Those goalies have to move every muscle on their body... constantly.
And that doesn't include the times when a puck is drilled at 5000 mph toward the net.![]()

i agree for the most part that an nhl goalie would require more reflex, but what about kevin cash or doug marabelli? atleast the a puck is shot it is consistant in its path, unless redirected. But with a knuchleball the pitcher doesnt even know where the ball is going to go.

I have been a catcher and a goalie and I will tell you, a goalie is 100 times funner. Not even close.
Goalie is the star position. Team really depends on you and winning a game while standing on your head...well, I have never experienced anything in sport funner than that. Catching is very important as you have to work with the pitcher but playing catch all game can be really monotonous. Still fun but cant touch what it is like being between the pipes.
