Just to try it out, a friend of mine turned me on to it. I figured with the price of smokes, and my no will power act to quit, this might be a good Idea.
The result......I accidently stopped smoking cigarettes. Didn't mean to but these e-cigs are so awesome, I've tried to smoke but now it tastes like shat compared to the tasty vapors an e-cig puts out.
I saw a thread about thes a while back but couldn't find it to bump. Any other smokers out there ever tried one of these?

Guys, which brands do you use? A friend of mine had the same sort of experience. I really need to stop smoking and I am looking for something like this. I heard there are good ones and bad ones.

I have the joye510 it's supposed to be the best out there and good for starting out. You can get a lot of info from here too! After I got mine I found out about this whole underworld of ecig users.

Also as far as quitting, for the most part it's just a better alternative to take in nicotine without losing the "good" things of smoking a cigarette. If you're trying to quit nicotine too, buy the no nicotine juice. It will still hit your throat like a real cigarette, and make it easier to give the nicotine time to wash out of your blood.
I'm sticking with the nicotine juice for now myself.

I was looking into getting one of these but I don't know where to start. Everytime I look at them online I get confused because there are so many different ones and so many different prices ect.. any ideas? I smoke about 10-15 cigs a day for about 7 years now.

You will save by switching to this, plus you will eliminate everything bad that you get from regulars cigs. Especially the smell. All E-cigs produce is water vapor that looks like smoke. You can actually blow a "Smoke Ring" with it.

I got mine off of Ebay with 180 cartidges in 2008 and I still have about 50 left. They can't sell them there anymore.
This is the one my wife has. You can buy a bottle of the liquid nicotine that will last a LONG time. My wife has the coffee flavored one.

my buddy whose been a smoker for a long time, prob 10 plus years at a pack per day just got an e cigg and he said he loves it and hasnt smoked a regular cigg since (2 weeks). the other day i took a pull of the strawberry lemonade flavor and it tasted really good. only thing is, the other day on howard stern i heard that when you smoke the e cigg you actually get no nicotine out of it. i dunno how true or not it is though. but overall i would say if you are serious about quitting you should deff try this.

No, you definitely get nicotine out of it. But they make cartridges that range from full nicotine all the way to no nicotine to actually help you go through the process of quitting and kicking the habit for wanting the nicotine.
"Just ordered the "Smoketip" brand. Ordered Yesterday...already shipped.
Entire order came to 89.00. This includes the starter kit...battery charger...6 cartridges, (I added another 10 for 17.00)
I am looking forward to trying these as I need to quit "
Woah.. That is way too much to be paying for cartriges. After you get you e-cig, if you like it then definitely looking into ordering cartriges in a larger bulk or go with a bottle that contains the nicotine liquid, because One cartridge = about 6 regular Cigs. There are only about 2 drops of this liquid in every cartridge.

Im trying to decide between these and chantix. Anybody try both?
Smoking
I used Chantix for about 4 months............had my last smoke on Dec. 5th, but had been down to 3-4 cigs/week up til then.
It worked........after about 10-14 days cigs start tasting crappy.......like smoking cardboard. Then they quit having any effect..........no relaxing sensation or however you would describe it.
I'm glad I quit...........I tried 3 or 4 times before with gum, patches, CT..........never made it more than a week. Chantix is expensive, but fortunately it was covered by my insurance so it was only a $20 co-pay.

It worked for me, days. But it does have side effects that vary from person to person...............for me it was hot flashes & waking up in the middle of the night constantly.............& dreaming in hi-def.

I hate cigarettes Can't stop though... I really don't even feel 'addicted' physically, I can go a week or two without smoking and I don't get any 'cravings' or feel like I need a cigarette, but eventually I always go back. I only smoke maybe 2-3 a day now but I still can't kick the habit, and I hate smoking.
The worst is after eating a big meal... have to smoke every time.

I just try and not smoke as much when I'm sober. After I smoke though I have to smoke, it's a must. And game situations too if I'm ona close cover you can bet I'm puffin away.
Oh and it's gotta be menthol too, the other stuff tastes horrible
